salt * Chemically a salt is an ionic
compound as it is composed of two oppositely charged ions such as
sodium chloride is made up of sodium ions (cation) and chloride ion (anion).
*salt is the ionic product of acid base neutralisation reaction.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SALTIt is odourless ,white , cubic crystalsIt has a bitter tasteIt is hygroscopic in natureIts melting point is 800.8 CIts boiling point is 1465 CIts soluble in water It doesn’t conduct electricity in solid state , but liquid and solution can conduct electricity
Example for explanation is NaCl
