Mother’s Day Cards: Will be available in the Narthex or the Parish Center if you wish to have your mother (living or deceased) remembered during the Masses for Mother’s Day. They can be returned to the Parish Center.

My Dear Friends in Christ: As we continue in this Easter Season, it is important that we continue in the joy and celebration of Christ’s Resurrection because, as I have said many times, WE ARE AN EASTER PEOPLE AND ALLELUIA IS OUR SONG! Just as we did a few weeks ago when we lit our tapers from the paschal candle and we lit others’ tapers during the Easter Vigil, so Jesus announces to us the Resurrection. We’re called then to run to tell others, and they in turn are called to share that good news in a chain of love stretching all the way back to that morning when the tomb was found empty. Christ is calling all of us to affirm it, to be witnesses to the Resurrection, not just as an historical fact that passes every historical test of common sense, but as a lived reality because people see in us those who live a truly redeemed life. People may be able to believe in Jesus and His Resurrection if they had ever met someone who radiated Je-sus’ risen life. That’s what’s supposed to happen whenever anyone meets a Christian. There may be days when this is more challenging, but if we’re ever going to be living signs of Jesus risen, then we must begin by being risen signs of Jesus on Easter, and Easter Monday, and the Easter Octave and the Easter Season. We need to let that risen joy overflow naturally toward others every day of our lives. Last weekend we were blessed to celebrate First Holy Communion with so many of our young boys and girls, and we will do the same this weekend. Last weekend, we were also blessed to welcome ten men and women (who participated in our RCIA program) into full communion with our Catholic faith. You may recall that another three adults (who also participated in our RCIA program) received all their Sacraments of Initiation at our Easter Vigil. We have so much to be thankful for as a parish community. There is so much good happening in our parish that we should all stand proud and give witness to the fact that Christ is Truly Risen! Alleluia! God bless you. With love and appreciation for all of you, Father Vincent
