Dedication
Dear love, this book is a small dedication to your
unconditional love. I wish I could have you back
just for a while, then we would sit back for a while
and love like we used to do. My love for you will
live forever and ever but the fact is, you are no
longer here.

Prologue
Gurupreet was still in deep sleep. But my sleep was
gone forever. I thought to wake her up. But I didn’t.
I didn’t want her chapter in my life. I decided to
keep our friendship till this stage only. I was
constantly looking at her. Her innocent sleeping
face was not letting me go. I promised her, that I’ll
wake her up. But doing this will continue our
friendship further and I don’t want that. But how
can I cheat her. I just had two minutes to make a
life changing decision. My one step will bring her
closer to me and the other will break our contact
forever. My mind was jumbling between these two
thoughts and her beauty was adding more
confusion. My blood turned cold and heart filled
with emotions.

“Hey Bhai Wake up, it‟s late” Said Akash
“What happened yaar, let me sleep” I Said
“Arre its 10:30 am aur 12:30 ko teri train hai”
Said Akash
“What?” I Said
I forgot that I have to go today. I finished my
2nd semester university exams and I am going
home today, after a long time. I was quite happy.
Somehow I managed to get up from bed and started
packing my bags, as I was unable to pack it last
night due to the sickness.
I was happy but not much excited going home.
Nowadays I have lost interest in everything because
of her. Losing her was the most unwanted thing for
me.
I was thinking all these and suddenly my phone
rang, it was Dad‟s call
“Good morning Dad” I Said
“Good morning Beta, Are you going to station
or not it is late by now” Dad said
“Yes Dad I have packed the bags and leaving
now.”I Said

I hung up the phone, took my bags, said
goodbye to everyone and left. I had my breakfast in
food court in college campus. Describing about the
college it is „THE SANJAY GHODAWAT
INSTITUTES‟. The most beautiful and the best
college I have ever seen. Well experienced teaching
faculty, 150 acres of green campus with well built
infrastructure and almost each and every
educational course availability. I am studying
Mechanical Engineering here.
I hired a cab from college to Kolhapur railway
station. As soon as I reached station I saw the train
was boarded on platform and I approached towards
it. It was the 11404 Kolhapur – Nagpur Express, the
train which was going to take me to my hometown
Washim. I started towards my coach B1 where my
ticket was reserved. I got to my seat and kept my
luggage. Soon the train started the journey. I put on
my headphones and started listening songs and
viewing the scenes outside the window and thinking
about old memories.
Soon the train arrived at Miraj Station, as it was
a major junction and train was going to halt here for
20 minutes, I got down from the train and took
some snacks and water bottle as I forgot to bring the
water from college. It was month of May and
unexpectedly the weather became stormy. The sky
was covered with dark clouds and it was the sign of
a great stormy rain. Cool wind was flowing with a
great speed resulting into the dusty atmosphere. The
vendors on the platform were busy in packing their
goods. Somehow I managed to keep my eyes safe
from the dust and headed towards the coach. The

station was full of hustle-bustle with the noises of
Railway engines, Announcements and the voices of
overcrowded peoples. Suddenly the rain started to
fall and the fragrance of soil after first rain was
incredible. It gave me the memories of childhood
when me and my Aishu used to get on the roads in
the first rain of the season.
As I was moving towards my coach, I saw a
beautiful girl coming towards the same coach. She
was struggling with her luggage and the stormy
winds were making her problems more
complicated. Her personality was mind blowing.
She was almost about 5‟07‟‟ of height and she was
damn pretty. She was looking awesome in her blue
and pink salwar-kameez, I guess she was Punjabi.
Her cute face, her short height and the curly hairs
were driving me crazy. She was repeatedly taking
her open hairs behind her ears as they were coming
on her vibrant face. She came near the door and
started searching her name on reservation list. I
wish she should get the seat just in front of me.
I entered the train and sat on my seat while
drinking water. Soon she entered the coach and
slowly started arriving towards me and my heart
began beating faster. She came near me and said,
„‟hii, which seat?” She repeated again. I was
listening it but my mind was lost in her beautiful
personality and simplicity. She said again, “hello I
am asking you something??” Her voice and her
expressions were similar to my love and took me
back to old days.
I regained my senses and said „‟ mine is no.
16.”

She smiled and said, “ohh, mine is no. 15.”
I smiled back.
“Where are you going?” She asked
“Washim and you?” I said
“Nagpur” She said instantly
I smiled again. (These days I grew a habit of
giving fake smile)
She kept her luggage below the seat and sat in
front of me. I was constantly staring her, she was
similar to my better half. At some moments she
caught me staring but somehow I managed to take
off my eyes from her. She was much alike my
Aishu, just like her gurupreet also used to get happy
over little things.
The train started its journey again. I started
looking outside. She was reading a love novel and
sometimes I noticed that she was also gazing me
from the corner of her eyes.
After a long time she closed the book and she
moved her hand for handshake and said, “Hii, I am
Gurupreet Singh.”
Suddenly my heart bounced in joy, because my
guessing was correct she was a Punjabi girl.
“Hi, I‟m Saikumar Deshmukh” I said.
“You are from Washim, I guess. So what
brought you here in Kolhapur?” she started the
conversion
“I study Mechanical Engineering here.” I Said
She made a strange face by hearing my words.
“What happened?” I Asked
“Nothing” She said “So you are an Engineer
and that too mechanical.”
“Hmm yes! Why any problem?” I asked

“No nothing.” She said
“Ok, so for what purpose you are going to
Nagpur?” I asked
“Nagpur is my hometown and I study in
Sangli.” She said
“So what are you studying in Sangli?” I Asked
“Fashion Designing” She said
“Ohh that sounds interesting.” I Said
I tried to ignore her as I wasn‟t interested in
talking with her because she was forcing me to
recall my old memories. But she was unstoppable.
She was a talkative girl and I was a silent guy.
Some moments passed and she was quite. The
train was moving towards its destination and I was
seeing outside the window and she was busy in her
stuff.
After some time she turned to me again and
said, “If you don‟t mind, can I ask you a question?”
“Yes, please” I said
“Is there anything wrong with you?” she said
“No, but why do you think so?” I asked.
“I have seen many boys who are mad after me
and try to find some reason just to talk with me. But
you are totally different. That amazed me” she said
“Look, I‟m really not interested in you and I
don‟t care what you think about me. There is
nothing wrong with me” I said arrogantly
“No, but you look a little sad and devdas type”
She said softly, avoiding the eye contact with me.
“No nothing like that.” I said and gave a fake
smile. Inside I was thinking that do I really look like
devdas.

“C‟mon” She said “May be I can help you in
your problem.”
“No you can‟t and why are you so willing to
solve my problems.” I said
“Yes definitely I can help you and I am like a
superman and I like to help people who are in
problem.” She said
She further added, “C‟mon don‟t you consider
me as your friend and I am completely stranger, so
you won‟t mind sharing your secrets with me.”
“So you won‟t keep quite.” I asked
“Yes sir, I won‟t and trust me your things will
be safe with me.” She said smilingly
Her cute and smiling face made me trust over
her and I thought for a while that she was a
complete stranger and I don‟t know whether I will
meet her after this or not. I really won‟t mind
sharing the past with her and it will help me
betterment of my mood.
So I decided to tell her everything.
“Okay then, so you want to listen what
happened in my life?” I asked
“Yes I do.” She said curiously
