General Indoor & Single Zone Outdoor Installation
High Wall Installation Requirements • Standard Mini Split
Mantras about unit location still apply
• Indoor units MUST be installed a minimum of 5ft from the floor – these units are NOT PTAC’s
• Allow the airflow to spread throughout the room
• Remote control has a range of about 20ft

Install unit on Wall
• Use mounting templates provided
• Drill a 3” hole at approx 5° slant down towards the outside
• Remove Wall Bracket from unit and attach to the wall – make sure it is level
• Once bracket is attached slightly bend unit mounting tabs outwards to help in attaching the unit
Installing High Wall Indoor Unit• Gently rotate line set
stubs to the required (vertical) position
• Locate condensate hose and tape it to line set BELOW refrigerant lines
• Feed both electrical wires in from Outside and run through connection into the unit – keep on opposite sides of the line set as much as possible
Installing High Wall Indoor Unit• Tape electric wires to line stubs• Lift unit, feed line sets & wire through the hole
and attach unit to the mounting bracket• On outside of building then bend line set stubs
to desired direction towards Outdoor unit • Ensure that line set is not kinked • Condensate hose connection fits a 5/8” ID or
¾” OD clear vinyl hose – use this to transition to rigid (per local codes) – Always use rigid for horizontal slope 1” in 12” towards building drain
Installing Ducted Indoor Unit• Template to mark position
of threaded rods to support unit is provided with the unit
• Ensure rods are capable of supporting unit weight
• Ensure that the unit is slightly pitched (1/4”) towards the drain to help condensate removal
• Make sure that a minimum of ¼” clearance exists between the top of the drop ceiling and the unit to prevent noise issues
Installing Ducted Indoor Unit• All refrigerant piping,
drain & electrical connections are on the RHS of the unit
• Condensate drain connection uses the provided flexible connector – an 1 1/4” clear vinyl hose can be used to adapt to rigid condensate piping
• Gravity drain is standard, Condensate pump is an option – Samsung pump fits inside the unit
Installing Ducted Indoor Unit• Return air ductwork can
be either free or ducted to the rear or bottom as required – ductwork added to the return will need to be subtracted from total length of ducting on the system
• Free return recommended
• Filtration is not supplied with the unit
• Field installed filtration must be installed - either at the unit or field installed at the return air grille
Installing EH/MH Indoor Unit• Supply Air Duct Connection• EH035 6” x 33 ¾” • EH 052/070 7 13/16” x 31

transition piece from unit to duct trunk

• Outdoor unit powers Indoor unit use 14-3 Wire
• Wire 1 to 1 and 2 to 2 and Ground
• MUST USE A SEPARATE WIRE FOR POWER & CONTROL BETWEEN OUTDOOR AND INDOOR UNITS
Out to In Wiring Requirements • Control Wiring • Use 16AWG Shielded

Evacuation Requirements
• Units are all R410A• NEED 5/16” GAUGE
ADAPTOR to attach gauges to the single Schrader connection
• Recommend 200 Micron minimum with double evacuation, break with Nitrogen or other dry gas
• Keep system open time to a minimum to prevent moisture problems
AQV Charging Requirements • All Units are charged for 25ft line set as standard• Add NO R410A to AQV 09/12 up to the max line set length of 50ft• Add 0.15oz/ft for AQV 18 line sets over 25ft• Add 0.15oz/ft of R410A for AQV24 line sets over 25ft

Start Up – AQV09-24 Push the K1 Button
Trial Run will start or stop as follows.
1 x PUSH START in COOLING mode
2 x PUSH START in HEATING mode
3 x PUSH STOP
Once the compressor has been stopped the
next start will be delayed 3 min due to the Anti
Short cycle timer protection.Compressor will run following frequency during the 60 minute Trial Run mode
AQV09 : 50Hz
AQV12 : 74Hz
AQV18 : 52Hz
AQV24 : 61Hz
Start Up – EH Units Push the K1 Button
Trial Run will start or stop as follows.
1 x PUSH START in COOLING mode
2 x PUSH START in HEATING mode
3 x PUSH STOP
Once the compressor has been stopped the
next start will be delayed 3 min due to the Anti
Short cycle timer protection.
Start Up – AQV36, DH & CH Units
Trial Run will start or stop as follows.
K1 x PUSH START in HEATING mode
K2 x PUSH START in COOLING mode
K3 x PUSH STOP or RESET
K4 x PUSH DATA VIEWER
Once the compressor has been stopped the

050 Outdoor unit • Maximum total line
set is 100ft• Maximum Individual
line set to an Indoor unit is 50ft
• Connection sizes • 2 x 3/8” Suction• 2 x ¼” Expanded Gas• Both sets of lines
must be insulated

080 Outdoor unit • Maximum total line set for
all units is 225ft• Maximum Individual line
set to an Indoor unit is 75ft
• Connection sizes • 1 x 1/2” Suction• 3 x 3/8” Suction• 4 x ¼” Expanded Gas• All sets of lines must be
insulated
Line Set Issues
080 Outdoor unit • Single Service Valve for
Liquid and Suction lines• Unused connections must
be left untouched• Always start to install
from the uppermost set of connections – this is unit A, then B, C and the lower set of connections is D
Line Set Sizing
• Capacity Suction Expanded
• 9,000 Btu/h 3/8” ¼”• 12,000 Btu/h 3/8” ¼”• 18,000 Btu/h ½” ¼”
• When using the 080 with 4 x 9k Indoor units, it has a ½” suction connection, so included in the Outdoor unit is a small connector to sleeve down from ½” to 3/8” piping
Wiring - Power• 208-230V – 1Ph – 60Hz
• 050 uses a 20A breaker
• 080 uses a 30A breaker
• Each Indoor unit is fed power individually, not required to be sequenced
• 1 on Outdoor to 1 on Indoor, 2 on Outdoor to 2 on Outdoor – this is very important
Wiring - Control• RS485 communication
• F1 & F2 communication 16AWG Shielded wire
• F1 to F1, F2 to F2, does not matter which unit is connected to which terminal as long as F1 to F1, F2 to F2
• Try to separate the controls wiring at least 2” from the power wiring
Evacuation
• Each Indoor unit has it’s own EEV in the Outdoor
050 Outdoor unit• Each Indoor unit has a
separated set of Suction and Liquid service valves
• Both Need a R410A adaptor
• Evacuates the individual Indoor unit and line set connected to the service valves
• 400 Micron minimum
Evacuation• Each Indoor unit has
it’s own EEV080 Outdoor unit• There is a single
Suction and Liquid shut off valve
• Needs R410A adaptor
• Evacuates all Indoor units and line sets connected to the manifold assembly

Auto Addressing Mode
Step 1• Rotary switch signifies # of
Indoor units connected to Outdoor
• Set the rotary switch to the # of units, either 2, 3 or 4
Step 2• Auto Addressing• Indoor units rotary switches do
not need to be altered• Leave all Dip switches on the
Outdoor unit to the factory settings
Step 2 - Auto Address function
• Step 2 Cont• Turn on the unit, it will
start a count to check communications with all Indoor units
• LH display will count 00 to 15
• Once Indoor units are tracked it will scroll 00 as it finds the Indoors
Step 2 - Auto Address function• Step 2 Cont• Unit will now display E199
asking for a pipe check• MWR-WS00 will display E599 • Press K1 switch once• This starts the auto addressing
mode• Display will show |-5• Compressor will start and the
unit will open each EEV in turn to check that the correct indoor unit is connected to the correct EEV
• Unit will display on other LED the results scrolling 00, 01, 02, 03 as it establish communication
Step 3 - Auto Address function• Step 3 • Once completed it will display
an OK signal, now the unit can be run in test mode, either Cooling or Heating
• Press K2 Button ONCE for Heating Trial mode : Display will show |-1
• Press K2 Button TWICE to add refrigerant : Display will now show |-2
• Press K2 Button THREE times for Cooling trial mode : Display will now show |-3
• Press K2 Button FOUR times for Pump Down mode : Display will now show |-4
Manual Addressing Mode
Step 1• Manual addressing is used
when a BMS system is used or Ducted and Wall Mount units have Wired Remote controls
• Set the rotary switch to the # of units, either 2, 3 or 4
Step 2• Manual Addressing• Set Dip Switch #1 on Outdoor
unit to OFF
Manual Addressing ModeStep 3• On Indoor units set SW01 the
MAIN address to the following based on which set of refrigerant connections the unit is piped to
• Unit piped to the top set of connections = 0
• Unit piped to the second set of connections from top = 1
• Unit piped to the third set of connections from top = 2
• Unit Piped to the lowest set of connections = 3
• System can now be powered up
Manual Addressing ModeStep 4• On initial power up LH display
will scroll 00 Through 15• Once Indoor units are tracked
LH display will show 00, 01, 02 and 03 depending how many Indoor units are installed
Step 5• Press K1 for a Pipe Check,
although this is not strictly necessary
• Use the K2 Button to put the unit into either Cooling or Heating trial mode
Wired ControllersStep 1• Indoor units set SW02 the RMC
address to the following based on which set of refrigerant connections the unit is piped to
• Indoor Unit piped to the top set of connections = 0
• Indoor Unit piped to the second set of connections from top = 1
• Indoor Unit piped to the third set of connections from top = 2
• Indoor Unit Piped to the lowest set of connections = 3
• Dip Switch #1 should be in the OFF position (MANDATORY on the FECA Ducted unit)

Maintenance - Filters • AQV Silver Nano Filter is
permanent and washable, clean every month
• AQV Electro Static and Carbon Filters are also washable – changed from previous models
• Suggested cleaning schedule for ALL filters is every month – only use the optional filters when cooling people, machines don’t care about smells and pollen
