Code of Conduct/Ethics

Maintain a Positive Athlete-Centered Approach to OfficiatingEnsure that every athlete receives courteous, objective and impartial officiating as a means of insuring a fair competition for all. Act professionally being positive, proactive and polite.

Be PunctualRespond quickly to invitations to officiate, arrive on time, honor every officiating commitment and accept any assignment required, upon completion make sure results are promptly submitted

Be preparedFollow and keep up to date of the relevant rules & regulations, be prepared for changes in the weather

Wear the Appropriate UniformOfficial’s dress should be appropriate to the standard and nature of the competition.

Be Professional toward ColleaguesNot to question in public the performance of another judge. In the event of an alleged breach of competition rules, report to the appropriate Referee.

Smoking, Drugs and Alcoholic BeveragesOfficials should never smoke while officiating, nor consume alcoholic beverages so soon before competition that it affects their competence or prior to the end of officiating duties for the day.
