Section D
The structure of the monument is design to allowsmall light penetrations around edges since thereare no artificial lights. Just enough natural light to see.
Glass balcony of transparency and light
After passing through the monumentone steps onto a glass balconythat has a completely oppositeexperience from the other spaces
Glass joists supportthe balcony.
STAIR OF COMPRESSION
As one ascends the stair the ceiling getscloser and there are less light penetrations. This makes the spaceat the top darker and more contained.
Gaps between steps are filled inasand lets less light in underneath the stair treads
the space gets smaller and darker
Section A
From bottom to top the stair narrowsfrom 9' wide to 4.5' making the spaceat the top smaller and more contained.
