Timestrip IV Line Alert guards against inadvertent retention of cannula in excess of 72 hours and prompts staff to take appropriate action in line with hospital Infection Protection procedures.

• Economical, single-use timing strips assist routine inspection and replacement of IV lines and/or devices to minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections.

• Colored liquid moves across the clear viewing window to the “3 DAYS” mark to indicate how long the cannula has been in use.

Instructions:• After inserting the cannula, fi rmly squeeze the bubble

between fi nger and thumb until the bubble is fully depressed. TO ENSURE ALL THE LIQUID HAS BEEN EMPTIED FROM THE BUBBLE, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO SQUEEZE IT MORE THAN ONCE.

• After a few seconds, a thin red line will appear in the window showing that the Timestrip has been activated.

• The colored liquid inside the Timestrip will gradually move across the viewing window giving a clear indication of whether the patient records need to be checked..

• This product is calibrated for use at an average temperature of 82°F/28°C and is intended for use on a patient wristband or dressing.

•When used in accordance with these instructions, the Timestrip is accurate to ±10%.

• Padlocks can be custom engraved with a number, name or other information. Pharmacy personnel can track each custom engraved padlock and its combination with a spreadsheet. They can then send out a unique combination when new meds are delivered. Only authorized personnel who have been given the combination by the pharmacy staff via phone, email, voicemail or text can remove the pole. IV Pole Securing System• Stainless steel clamp, with combination

padlock and cable, attaches to the IV pole and can be tethered to a fi xed location such as the wall, bed or cabinet, where the second combination padlock locks the cable to the eyelet on the adhesive-backed pad. Results are a secured IV pole.

• Before affi xing the adhesive-backed pad, be sure the surface is clean and dry. The adhesive on the pad is very aggressive and makes it extremely diffi cult to remove. Consider the placement to be a permanent location.

• Two three-digit chrome combination padlocks are included. It is very easy to change the combination for control and security purposes. Additional combination padlocks are also available.
