Homes shattered, families displaced, businesses shut down, and people feeling helpless. Her radius was and is felt near and far and will continue for months, if not years ahead.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER & SPIRIT OF PEOPLE... We are moving forward and every day is another day. A BETTER DAY! People helping people, neighbors helping neighbors, strangers helping strangers. The spirit of people to work together to rebuild is amazing. There are times of despair and a feeling of helplessness, but not for long.

Long Beach Island & Manahawkin are proof of “TOMORROW IS COMING”. There is a re-birth to be seen every day. It will take time and time is measured by the strength, power and determination within the human spirit. I've been asked if there will be a 2013 summer on LBI. OF COURSE THERE WILL BE A SUMMER! There will always be summers on LBI as well as fall, winter and spring. Each day is a new day and the hard work and efforts of everybody can be seen and the “NEW NORMAL” is starting to be felt.

Please take the time to give THANKS to all the volunteers and workers helping to make this happen. Working long hours with a physical strength not thought possible. Please remember to give donations to local re companies, rst aid squads and police departments who stayed during “SANDY'S” path. During their search, rescue and recovery equipment was damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

COME VISIT US - you will be amazed at our dedication and progress in restoring and rebuilding LBI. There will always be a LONG BEACH ISLAND and Beach Haven West.
