The Red Truck Ministry is starting a Saturday schedule the second and fourth weeks of the month. If anyone is interested in helping, please contact the LBA office at 434-316-8382. We will be collecting beanie weenies and tuna for The Red Truck Ministry, which are greatly needed. Fruit cups are also needed. Please remember to check expiration dates.

LBA/WMU Meeting for Missions will be at Rustburg Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 15th at 6:00 p.m. For supper, chicken will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert. Judy Bowman will be the guest speaker. She will be teaching practical ways to speak about Christ to others. If you plan to attend, please call the LBA office at 434-316-8382.

The Date For The Prayer Gathering for spiritual awakening for region 2000 has been moved to Tuesday, August 22nd from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 1701 Thompson Drive near Lynchburg General Hospital. A boxed lunch will be provided so please contact the LBA office at 434-316-8382 to confirm you will be attending no later than Friday, August 18th. Hope to see you there.

LBA Executive Committee Meeting will be at Elon Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 29th at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will follow the meeting.

Deacons Meeting will be on Friday, August 25th at 8:00 a.m. at Golden Corral. We will discuss church business so if any member has a concern or wants to make something known to the deacons, see one of us before the meeting. Your deacons are Walt Carey, Mike Wilson, Jerry Poff, Louis Gallaher, Randy Cash, David Smith and David Marsh. All active and inactive deacons are invited. We also need to start thinking about who will be the Chairman and Vice Chairman for the upcoming year.
