Sandvik DS421 Pioneer in cable bolting

Sandvik DS421 is a self-contained efficient cable bolting rig for rock re-inforcement in underground mines and tunnels with small and medium cross sections. It is the latest update of cable bolter, formerly known as Cabolt, the first fully mechanized cable bolting rig in the mining market.

The full bolting cycle can be done safely by one operator located under the canopy or in soundproof, air-conditioned cabin. The correct water/cement ratio and hole location can be easily controlled by the operator. Automatic grout hose washing, bolting head oiler, and easy mixer cleaning of the machine minimise maintenance time and increase rig lifetime. The onboard instrumentation with depth measurement for hole length, cement hose and steel strand ensures high quality and integrity of cable bolts.

The new carrier layout is specifically designed for safe access to all service points, and most of daily maintenance is conducted at ground level. The modular design makes training, operating and maintenance of the rig easier and more efficient.
