GET PHYSICAL Sports & Recreation along Solabetween Anacapa & Santa Barbara
There are all sorts of ways to stand up for the change you want to see at PUBLIC SQUARE. You can learn about organizations taking action on resource conservation, animal protection, and more, and even commune with the ocean creatures we’re protecting at a live touch tank. Take all you’ve learned and extend your reach by talking face-to-face with elected offi cials who advocate at city, state, and national levels. The time is now... stand up and get involved!
Why just stand when you can run, jump, climb, and surf? Get a new angle on how climate plays a role in the outdoor activities you love most at SPORTS & RECREATION. Check out a solar-powered go-cart, connect with those who are protecting the great outdoors, and gear up with eco-conscious companies who are doing their part to combat climate change. Interactive demos, fi tness classes, and music will keep you moving throughout the day at the fi rst-ever Sports & Recreation stage.

CHOOSE ELECTRIC Santa Barbara Green Car Show on Santa Barbara
CHOOSEELECTRIC
RIDE & DRIVEWHERE: Corner of Micheltorena and Santa BarbaraWHEN: Saturday 11am - 6pm; Sunday 11am - 5pmReady to take the wheel on climate protection? Head over to RIDE & DRIVE to test out vehicles that produce zero tailpipe emissions and get the equivalent of 100 miles per gallon. Take the Nissan LEAF for a spin, cruise a few blocks in the all-electric Chevy Spark EV, or get some fi rst-hand experience with the full family of Toyota Prius hybrids. And for those who are into eco-luxury, a Tesla Model S is at the ready.
Sometimes sitting helps the climate too – like when youslide behind the wheel of the latest alternative fuel vehicles at the SANTA BARBARA GREEN CAR SHOW. The largest annual showcase of battery electric, hydrogen, and other alt-fuel automobiles on the West Coast lets you get up close to cutting-edge climate-saving technologies like the Toyota Mirai – a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicle that leaves nothing behind but water. See the new Tesla Model S P85D and 85kWh on April 19, check out a solar carport, and make a pit stop at the Owner’s Corner to talk shop with people who have switched to a clean-fuel ride.
Cater to fashion needs at the ECO MARKETPLACE with upcycled clothing, handmade shoes that give cast-aside tires more miles, and sunglasses made from sustainable bamboo. You’ll also fi nd climate-friendly solutions for everyday home life like solar-powered LED lights, environmentally sound dry-cleaning and moving services, and refi llable household cleaners. And before you leave, make your body look, feel, and smell great with natural remedies, hand-pressed oils, chiropractic services, fair trade bath products, and jump ropes and soccer balls that generate power as you play.
