SAP IS-U/Utility Customer E-Services 1.0 Use The Web application SAP IS-U/Utility Customer E-Services allows utility companies to process customer contacts over the Internet. This offers utility companies a great potential for reducing processing costs. SAP IS-U/Utility Customer E-Services 1.0 contains all the functions from SAP FSCM Biller Direct 3.0, as well as specific processes for the utility industry (such as meter reading and move-in, move-out, move-in/out).
Meter Reading Entry With this function, the utility company customer can use the Web application SAP IS-U/Utility Customer E-Services to transfer meter reading results.
The user interface serves as an entry screen, and uses function modules from SAP IS-U/CCS to check the plausibility of the values entered.
Move-In, Move-Out, Move-In/Out With this function, the utility company customer can use the Web application SAP IS-U/Utility Customer E-Services to report a move-in, move-out or move-in/out.
The user interface serves as an entry screen, and sometimes uses function modules from SAP IS-U/CCS to validate data entered (such as for bank data or meter readings).
Constraints The following constraints apply to the move-in, move-out, and move-in/out processes:
- These processes can only be implemented with restrictions in a deregulated market. This is because the start of supply, end of supply, and change of supplier processes cannot be started directly with SAP IS-U/Utility Customer E-Services.
- The data entered by the Internet user is stored in SAP IS-U in the Accelerated Move-In / Move-Out / Move-In/Out Entry transaction (EC70). This results in restrictions regarding the possible input fields.
