Valuation categories are used to specify defect criteria for each axis. They relate to the different list elements in the FMEA: The valuation of the severity is done at the level of the effects The valuation of the probability of occurrence is done at the level of the preventive actions or at the level of causes if no
preventive actions exist yet. The valuation of the probability of detection is done at the level of the detection actions.
