1902 Overview
What is new with 1902 in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud for professional services:
• Unit Based Planning and Billing
• Work Location
• Dual Staffing
• Reversal of written off items
• OData API for Sales Prices

• Preliminary Billing – Check for Over-crediting
Depreciation with 1902 in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud for professional services:
• Utilization Analysis app is being deprecated and will not be available in future releases
• Approve Timesheets - Approve/Reject Timesheets-This app is planned to be deprecated with 1902 and will not be available in future
releases.

It is possible now to plan the units other than time in the work
package of the project. This feature provides output based
billing capability.
Business benefits:
▪ Customer can plan the units (test cases, tickets etc.) other
than time in the work package.
▪ The revenue is associated with the units and the cost is
associated with the planned time services.
Feature highlights:
▪ Possibility to plan different type of units to ensure
transparency in terms of delivery in the plan customer project
▪ Integrated review process for the planned units along with
the time based work packages
▪ Harmonized POC (percentage of completion) calculation for
the overall project considering unit based and time based
work packages.

Work Location while entering Timesheet
When entering timesheet entries, an employee/service performer can now maintain the specific location where he/she worked while executing the task.
The ‘work location’ field in the timesheet can capture the country, state and local work locations of employees/ service performers.
Value Proposition
• The timesheet work location can then be used by customers to handle/track any location specific processes (for example: the project manager can track project tasks which were executed onsite at the customer site or remotely)
Capabilities
Switch on ‘work location’ for internal employees or for service performers
Maintain the valid work locations that employees/ service performers can use while entering their timesheet entries
Employees/Service performers can use this work location field to maintain the exact location where the he/she worked while executing the task
Project managers can use the timesheet work location information from the time recording data CDS view to handle/ track any location specific
processes.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud for resource management
Suitability Matching and Assignment Creation for Project Managers
Depending on how your company's staffing process is set up, project
managers now also benefit from the features provided by resource
management. Using the advanced suitability matching features provided
by resource management, project managers can assign resources to
unstaffed project roles directly in the work package. With the new
business catalogues you can control if and which project managers are
allowed to create assignments for project roles.
Project managers can now create assignments for unstaffed project roles
directly in the apps for creating and planning customer and internal
projects. When project managers add resources to roles, a new dialog
opens that shows the suitability matching results provided by resource
management.
As a resource manager, you can change the assignments created by
project managers.
Capabilities
Authorized project managers can now staff as well in a central resource
management scenario
Resource managers can change staffings from project managers

Reversal of written off items
A project manager always has the option to write off any line items within
the billing proposal, so that this line item will not appear on the invoice.
This might be necessary for hours a consultant required to solve a
problem that came up in the project.
With this new functionality the project manager also has the opportunity to
reverse the items that have been written off before. Also this functionality
in part of the “release billing proposal” app.

Capabilities
Provisioning of OData APIs to create and update condition records for pricing that are used in Sales. The
service contains entities of condition record, validity, condition supplement, and pricing scale.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud for resource management
Preliminary Billing – Check for Over-crediting
The sum of the total net amounts of several credit memos is greater than the total net amount of the billing document that they refer to. Implement a check to prevent overcrediting.
Value Proposition
Enhance the system to prevent the creation of credit memos when overcreditingis detected. Once implemented, the check runs every time that a credit memo request is billed.
Capabilities (Bullets to capture main highlights of this feature)
The check must be implemented as custom logic in the cloud BAdI Data Transfer for Billing Document Item (SD_BIL_DATA_TRANSFER). Key users can do this in the Custom Fields and Logic app. The check consists of three main steps:
1. Find all to the process related documents
a. Read the current credit memo request
b. Read the referenced billing document
c. Read the corresponding credit memos
2. Check the currency and add up the total net amounts of the current credit memo request and the existing related credit memos
3. Compare the sum of the total net amounts with the total net amount of the billing document
