RESEARCH.For the tone of voice I wanted to get over sarah’s friendly and youthful vibe so after showing her some work from hort she was keen to go in this direction.

SO i took this as i can do what i want as long as it looks in this vain.

The clever thinking will come later in the project.

RESEARCH.Looked on the net for other illustrators and specifically embroidery illustrators found that most website we quite personal and reflective of the person style/tatse.

THE MARK.These are initial ideas for the mark.

I first though about how i could incorperate stiching into the logo and came up with this fun youthful looking logo playing on the look of different styles of stitching.

The second idea i decided to push forward was the straight typeographic treatment but using the embroidery machine to sew it in give the logo some texture and correspondance to sarahs practice.
