The unique design o SAS System 150 allows every ulltile to pivot and slide along the grid system. The hingeand slide eature acilitates easy access to large areaso the ceiling void or maintenance; tiles are retainedwithin the ceiling grid avoiding damage and eliminatingthe need or storage.

Luminaires and other services can be integrated

with System 150. Modular luminaires can be supportdirectly rom the sot. Where maximum point loadsare exceeded (see installation advice page 163) theload must be supported independently or rom thegrid. The SAS pattress system allows the integration oheavier items into the system by distributing the loaddirectly back to the Omega Bar, eliminating the need orcomplicated support arms. Further details are availablerom the technical department.

The deep Omega Bar has a maximum spanning abilityo 2000mm. The wide spanning bar requires 25% less

primary channels, top xings and brackets, savinginstallation time and materials.

Suspension centres should be reduced when using highperorming dB panels due to the additional weight orwhere loads are applied to the system, see page 163 orinstallation advice.

Bulkhead closure panels enable foating rats andceilings to be created using a standard clip in ceiling tile, see image on pages 24 and 70.

The height o the closure panels can be manuacturedto suit the project requirements. Further details areavailable rom the technical department.

In areas where it is necessary to restrict access to theceiling void, System 150 oers a security clips thatholds the tiles into the supporting grid. This is idealor airports and other security driven environments, including schools and lavatories.

Tiles without security clips can be removed rom theceiling plane by means o an easy access tool.

iceNotesMaximum suspension centres should only be consideredor lightweight* installations.

Emac hangers should be installed a maximum o 300mmrom the end o a run o Emac channel and 300mm romthe joint between these channels. Where two omegabars meet and are spliced together, an Emac channelshould be installed within 500mm.

It is considered good practice to stagger joints insupporting structures.

Additional LoadsWhen supporting services such as downlights, speakers, detectors and other mechanical and electrical services, the maximum load applied to the ceiling tile must notexceed 2.5kg including spreader yokes i applicable.

The SAS pattress system allows the integration oheavier items by distributing the load back to the EmacOmega Bar. The pattress can accommodate a load oup to 6kg and are available in sizes to suit all standardmodules.

For load greater than 6kg we recommend independentsuspension.

Pattresses are available in sizes to suit all standard

    modules.

*Lightweight meaning base system only such as feeceor pad backing. Where the ceiling supports the loado services or or acoustically upgraded ceilings, thesuspension should be installed to minimum dimensionsshown above. Suspension centres should always beconsidered when applying additional loads.

For urther advice please contact the SAS technicaldepartment.
