How you can help your child during the Easter break
• Make sure they get lots of fresh air, play and sleep.
• Don’t make revising a big issue - we will revise in school in the weeks after the Easter holidays.
• Short 15-20 minute revision sessions a couple of times a day are usually most effective.
• Practise: spellings; times and division facts; key maths facts; read together and question for understanding; complete the 10 4 10 exercises.
How you can help your child during SATs week
• Make sure they get enough sleep.
• Make sure they eat breakfast.
• Encourage them to ask us if they are unsure about anything.
• Explain that the SATs are a way of showing what they know.
• Re-assure them that THEY CAN’T FAIL SATs! – they should aim to do their best on the day.
