RULE MODIFICATIONS
Pre-2003 IJF Medical rules for all non-Senior divisions.
No Kansetsu-Waza (Armbars) for Juniors under 17, SeniorNovices and Master Novices.
Excep� ons: Jr 3 Cadets and Jr Youth (IJF juniors)
No Shime-Waza (Chokes) for Juniors under 13.
Leg Grabs
No hansoku-make for leg grabs. Leg grabs will bepenalized by shido.
Judogi (For ALL divisions)
Pre-2014 gi fit requirements applied within reason based upon the size of the player.
No Hansoku-make given for 1st viola� on.
Compe� tor will be given opportunity to change gi even if contest has started.
Compe� tors MUST have blue and white belts and shouldhave at least a white gi. A match between 2 compe� tors wearing blue gis will not be permi� ed.

In considera� on of being permi� ed to par� cipate in any way, including travel to and from, the Annual Houston Open Judo Tournament (HOJT2019) and related events and ac� vi� es of United States Judo, Inc. Further, I acknowledge that there may be other risks not known to me or notreasonably foreseeable at this � me.
4. Knowing the risks involved in the sport of Judo, I assume all such risks and accept personal responsibility for the dam-ages caused by, arising out of, resul� ng from or following such injury, permanent disability, or death.
