About us Obeikan Technical Fabrics (OTF) is a producer and exporter of PVC/PVDF coated polyester
fabrics, and PTFE coated fiber glass fabrics.
The Company started when Obeikan Investment Group, one of the leading suppliers of packaging products in the Middle East, was awarded the contract to supply 3 million square meters of PTFE fabric to the MINA TENT PROJECT in December 1998.
OTF is producing and distributing its tensile fabrics across the globe, our customers are guaranteed of high quality products that conform the highest international standards.
OTF has been supplying PVC/PVDF and PTFE fabrics to the worldwide markets for countless projects in the Middle East, North Africa, Americas and Asia.
In order to control the overall value chain, OTF had installed state of the art production facilities in Riyadh. This includes the yarn manufacturing, chemical mixing and base fabric weaving plants.
Located in Saudi Arabia, OTF has the competitive advantage in sourcing quality raw materials
required along the manufacturing chain. OTF has sales offices in EMENA region with head office in Riyadh.

Base fabric weaving Warping is a process were warp yarns are usually delivered to the loom from a beam, a large spools with hundreds of ends yarn wound on it, mounted behind the loom. Warp is a weaving term for yarns that run lengthwise in woven fabrics.
Weaving is a fabric formation process which yarns are interfaced to form cloth. The weaving loom interlaces lengthwise (warp) and widthwise (weft) yarns. Weft is the term for the yarn which is shuttled back and forth across the warp to create a woven fabric. It can also be referred to as woof or fill.

Base fabric coating PVC coating consists of : • Tie Coat - serves as an adhesive between the fabric and the Plastisol for excellent bonding. Also called "ground-coat". • Top Coat - Usually the upper layer of the product where all additives are mixed in the Plastisol to reach required properties. Dip Coating is the process where woven
fabric is dipped/immersed in a Plastisol with both sides coated simultaneously.
PTFE coating process involves woven fiberglass base fabric coating with PTFE compound. Glass fibers are drawn into continuous filaments, which are then bundled into yarns. The yarns are woven to form a substrate.
