Each session is two days of synchronousYou only need to attend one session.

When:Session A Thursday, June 24, 2021 Friday, June 25, 2021

Session B Monday, July 26, 2021 Tuesday, July 27, 2021

Where: OnlineTime:

Three hours synchronous learning each day (9am-12pm) Nine hours of asynchronous

Cost:$250 for Non MSCA Members

$150 MSCA Members(June 10, 2021 for Session A is the last day to cancel to receive a full

refund. July 12, 2021 for Session B, is the last day to cancel to receive a full refund.)

Participants can earn either:1 MSDE CPD Approved

#19-67-14 or

15 National Board Certified Counselor Contact Hours (NBCC Approved Provider #3044)

as a school counselor shall provide coursework, professional development, or continuing education contact hours required by COMAR regulation 13A.12.03.02 to address the need for intervention or referral in response to indicators of mental illness and behavioral distress including, but not limited to depression; trauma; violence; youth suicide; and substance abuse.This course for school counselors provides a current, interactive overview of these skills and supports participants’ development/acquisition of a resource bank for distribution to parents or guardians, school staff, and students, as appropriate.
