PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONSB-5000 Stainblocking Invisible Sealer is a water based,penetrating, low VOC sealer that provides an invisible, durablebarrier against water, oil and stains on pavers, concrete andretaining walls.  Ideal for driveways, industrial flooring, buildingentrances, shopping malls, food courts and other surfaces at riskfor oil, food and/or other staining.  SB-5000 is an aqueousfluorochemical dispersion that does not contain any silicone orwax components. 

PREPARATIONTo determine the suitability of this product for a specific surface,test on a small, inconspicuous area first. The surface should bethoroughly clean and free from previously applied sealers,

oil, dust and loose material prior tosealer application. A leaf blower isrecommended to remove dust, debrisand fine sand particles from thesurface before sealing. If needed,prepare your surface for sealing byusing S.R.B. (Stain & Rust Buster) forspot cleaning, Oil Extractor for oil stainremoval, SureClean for overallcleaning, SureStrip for sealer removaland Efflo Off for removal ofefflorescence. Surface must be rinsedthoroughly of any cleaning agentresidue prior to applying SB-5000.Allow the cleaned surface to dry for a minimum of 24 hours tominimize any water entrapment under the SB-5000. Protectnearby property, vehicles and plants from overspray ofSB-5000.

APPLICATION INFORMATIONFor best results, apply SB-5000 Stainblocking Invisible Sealerat full strength (never dilute) using a low-pressure sprayer,roller, sponge or paint pad. When sprayed, use low pressurenot exceeding 60 PSI. Make sure that the surface is completelycovered. For optimal stain blocking, best practice is to apply asecond coat at right angles to the first coat soon after the firstappears to be dry.  Coverage rate for second coat should bebetween 50% and 75% of the first coat.  Apply second coatliberally, but do not allow to puddle, removing any excessproduct from the surface immediately with a foam roller.

DRYING TIMESurface will be dry to touch within 30 minutes at 65-85°F at50% relative humidity. Low surface or air temperature and orhigh relative humidity will extend dry times. Protect the surfacefrom dust, rain, condensation and traffic while drying. Area canbe open to foot & vehicular traffic in 24 hours depending onsite conditions.

MAINTENANCE/RE-APPLICATIONPavements should be properly maintained following SEK-Surebond's Restoration and Maintenance System guidelinesto get the best long-term performance from both the pavementand SB-5000. Keep surface clear of buildup of dirt, grime andstains by rinsing with cold, clean water. If staining of surfacedoes occur, Surebond sealers are compatible with Surebondmulti-use and specialty cleaners which can be used to removegeneral dirtiness, organic and inorganic stains like oils, foodand beverages and mineral deposits from the pavement

Test cleaners in inconspicuous area prior to cleaning.Be sure to check dilution rates for all cleaners to determine ifthey are ready to use or to determine appropriate dilution rateespecially for sealed surfaces. Efflorescence should beremoved using Efflo Off and a pressure washer, inconjunction with agitation from a natural fiber brush. Careshould be taken to ensure that excessive pressure is notutilized, as it may erode joint sand and could damage thesurface itself. Thoroughly rinse all cleaner off pavementsurface before sealing.  

SB-5000 Stainblocking Invisible Sealer re-application shouldbe carried out every 5 - 10 years depending on the type ofpavement, weather, usage and wear.

LIMITATIONSDo not expose containers to freezing temperatures and storeinside during cold weather. Test sealing is alwaysrecommended to ensure both the proper physical andaesthetic properties prior to starting a project. Never try toseal wet or damp surfaces. A minimum temperature of 45°F(7°C) must be maintained for a period of 24 hours prior toapplication. Working time is reduced when temperatures are

above 90°F (32°C) so it is recommended that sealing takeplace during cooler temperatures. Work shall cease ininclement weather (rain or strong wind).

persists, see a doctor.  If swallowed, do not induce
