Redefining Ready! National Scholarship 2017—The Redefining Ready! National Scholarship 2017 lets you, the students, tell the world (through a 30-second video) why you are college, career and life ready — beyond a test score. Examples include completion of an internship, AP or dual credit classes, near perfect attendance, or co-curricular activities. This opportunity is only open to high school graduating seniors.

The Redefining Ready! National Scholarship Contest is sponsored by Naviance by Hobsons, a partner of AASA. Scholarships will be awarded in the following categories:

• One (1) National First Place winner

• Seven (7) Regional Winners, representing each AASA region

• Seven (7) Regional Runners-Up, representing each AASA region

About Redefining ReadyRedefining Ready! is a national initiative launched by AASA to introduce new research-based metrics to more appropriately assess that students are college ready, career ready and life ready.

The initiative is a response to dismal college and career readiness scores reported by standardized test makers that fail to portray a comprehensive picture of student potential. Students learn in a variety of ways. They should be able to demonstrate readiness in a variety of ways.

Applicants must upload a 30-second video to Twitter and complete an official application. Application details and deadlines will be available March 20 at www.redefiningready.org.
