Creative portraits for modern families

So how do we work?Prior to the shoot:After confirming our shoot days, our studio administrator will get in touch to gather student information. Implementing a new ‘card’ system has given us the ability to name group photos on photo day with the teacher, name all of the students‘ images and supply student portraits for your school’s database system. Based on the information provided, we then set up a timetable for the school photo days and an estimate on when the photos will be ready to go online for purchase. Our online system means no pre-ordering at the office. We will also provide you some information to send out to families in preparation of the photo shoot.

On the day:Our team will arrive and set up early morning and work our way efficiently through all of your photography needs. These may include: Individual, staff, class, cultural, sports, sibling and best friend portraits. We name all the class photos on the day with the teachers, so your school office does not have to.

Our team works seamlessly in conjunction with the school office to organise the children with the least amount of disruption to class time, working hard to make sure no one misses out. As we predominantly photograph the children outside, rain is not a problem; we can use our pop-up gazebo or take photos in a sheltered outdoor area. We’ll bring helpful toys and props – then do our thing!

To assist with creating relaxed and engaged images, our photographers take a little extra time and care with the more shy, challenging and timid students, resulting in natural expressions and beautiful portraits, this is where we excel.

After the shoot:Within 2-3 days of the shoot we’ll emailthrough any remaining group photographsfor naming and once complete we thenprocess all the images and put them onlinein a password protected online orderinggallery. It usually takes two weeks to get everythingprocessed and uploaded, with a two week ordering period for families and then a two week order processing period.So basically six weeks after the shoot wewill deliver the photos to the school,packaged and labelled for easydistribution.

Our sessions are free for yourschool or centreOur family photo sessions don’t cost you anything. Each family pays a small fee for their time slot (usually $15) and this is yours to keep. When photos are purchased during the ordering period, you also receive 10% of the sale price.

We hold a Saturday sessionat your school or centreFundraiser shoots are available on Saturdays and they last 15 minutes. We require a minimum of 20 families. We’re well known for our beautiful outdoor portraits, however since Wellington weather is unpredictable, we can also arrange an alternative location. This is usually indoors at your school or centre but if you prefer not to have the hassle of opening and locking up at the end of the day you’re welcome to use our central Wellington studio instead.

We help you with the marketingand bookingWith the date and location confirmed, we put together personalised advertising material for you to send to prospective families. We also provide a booking sheet to assist you with taking bookings – this helps us prepare for each shoot and ensures a smooth process all the way through to delivery of the photos.

All we need is one or two parent helpersOur photographer will come out with all the gear they need on the day. All we require is one or two parent helpers (maximum) to assist us with setup, greet families as they arrive and tell them about our products. We provide a FAQ sheet for any questions that families may have.

Ordering is all done onlineA password-protected gallery is created for each family, so they can view and order their own photos online. We aim to have all orders filled within six weeks of the shoot.
