• Will provide transportation service to Clarcona ES, the swing school site.
• Bus routes will be created in June.• Bus routes to be approved by the School Board at
the end of July.• Bus stop information will be available week before
school begins.• Will have display bus at Open House to share
information with first time bus riders.

General Steps in Developing Routes
• Determine stop locations within DOE criteria.• Determine number of students per stop based
on the student’s address listed in the District’s database.
• Create route to match capacity of bus.

General Criteria for Safe Bus Stops
• Distance from student’s residence (6A-3.001 states no more than 1 ½ miles).
• Intersection controls.• Location of sex offenders (criteria provided by Florida DOJ).• Safe area for students to wait.• Ride time.• Most efficient number of stops.• Right side pickup locations.• Number of eligible students.• Site distance to proposed location stops (curves, hills, etc.). • Minimum distance between stops.
