DISCUSSION: The use of a Sole Source vendor is provided by Florida Administrative Rule 6A-1.012 (12) (d). Jigsaw Learning, LLC. dba TeachTown is the developer and sole owner of all copyrights, title and interests in TeachTown enCORE Curriculum. Procurement Services publicly advertised the intended sole source purchase on VendorLink beginning March 11, 2020 through March 20, 2020. Procurement Services did not receive any like, equal, equivalent, and/or identical product information from any other providers. This purchase will enable Student Services to pilot a new curriculum for students with significant cognitive disabilities in self-contained, VE-Supported and VE-Participatory, classroom settings to include: Oak Park Elementary (2 VE-S; 1 VE-P); Mila Elementary (2 VE-S/P); Dr. WJ Creel Elementary (2 VE-S; 1 VE-P); and Lockmar Elementary (2 VE-S; 1 VE-P) beginning in 2020-2021. Professional development includes initial training as well as follow-ups throughout the school year to ensure fidelity of implementation. “enCORE” is a standards-based, core curriculum that provides students with moderate and severe disabilities access to the general education curriculum utilizing adapted grade-aligned content, high-quality children’s literature, and integrated technology. Progress monitoring in “enCORE” supports reporting student performance by domain and skill, IEP goals, and state standards. The standard sole source template has been used, which does not require legal review. CONTRACT TERM: The contract term shall commence April 15, 2020 and continue until all items are delivered to the satisfaction and acceptance of Student Services, Program Support or June 30, 2021, whichever occurs first.
RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Christine Moore, Assistant Superintendent, Student Services, and Dr. Kimberly Bias, Director, Program Support, to approve the attached proposal from Jigsaw Learning, LLC. dba TeachTown in the amount of $56,453.34.

TeachTown is the developer and sole owner of all copyrights, title, and interests in TeachTown Meta-Play, Basics, enCORE, TeachTown Social Skills, Be Safe, Transition to Adulthood, SLP Assist, ABA Pro and TeachTown Registered Behavior Technician Course (RBT).
Meta Play provides systemic early intervention to students aged eighteen months to four years with behavioral disorders, intellectual disability and ASD to increase. appropriate social behavior and remediate deficits in the areas of social skills and play.
TeachTown Basics provides an evidence-based curriculum that combines on computer discrete trials with teacher lead Generalization Activities. It addresses the academic, cognitive, and social emotional challenges faced by students with developmental delays, intellectual disability (ID), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Data are automatically captured, tracked and reported on when a student is in a session providing detailed progress reports and graphs to help guide a student’s academic progress
enCORE is an adapted, comprehensive core curriculum designed to meet the needs of students with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. The program provides a blended classroom solution of hands-on, interactive whiteboard, and independent technology-delivered student lessons. Based on the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA), and systematic instruction, enCORE provides educators with scripted lessons that are easy-to-implement and differentiated across three student support levels. A comprehensive classroom library of differentiated, adapted literature expands inclusive educational opportunities for this population by providing students with high quality books that are commonly found in general education classrooms. Data tracking across all instructional platforms provides districts with student progress across state-specific standards and student-specific IEP goals. Designed by content experts in the field of general curriculum access, enCORE is the only comprehensive core solution providing general curriculum access and age-appropriate content to this student population utilizing a blend of instructional platforms
TeachTown Social Skills is an engaging curriculum designed to teach young children skills to improve social interaction. It includes animated episodes and a full 6-day lesson

plan as well as extension activities, homework sheets and comic strips along with an observational assessment component. The curriculum teaches appropriate, positive social behaviors, allowing students to flourish in inclusive environments. This program also includes an online assessment tool for progress monitoring.
Be Safe is a video modeling curriculum for teens and young adults and provides the appropriate skills necessary to safely interact with community officers and first responders.
Transition to Adulthood is a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum designed to teach students with disabilities in secondary and post-secondary programs critical skills to increase independence, community access, and employability.
SLP Assist provides a comprehensive solution for the school-based SLP and students. It includes technology-driven speech and language services for students, integrated with a platform for SLP’s to deliver a variety of speech and language lessons with secure, automated data collection and reporting tools
ABA Pro provides educators concise, practice-focused professional development course modules and downloadable materials on topics related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
TeachTown RBT Online Training Program is a 40-hour online certification training program that is based on the RBT Task List as set by the BACB.

TeachTown’s educational programs have been shown to help improve cognitive function and language skills in students and have been validated by academic research, published randomized control trial and other efficacy studies, and practical classroom experience.
