Good morning all,
Hope ye are all well and still enjoying the best of the sunny weather!! It was lovely to speak to you all this week and hear that
ye are all doing so well with the assigned work. As I mentioned on the phone, this week we are starting our Distance Learning
with Seesaw- just 2 lessons for the week to ease ourselves in!!!! (I have included instructions on how to use it under the
timetable) I’ll look forward to seeing some of the responses/ work. I hope the kids have fun completing them!
Unfortunately, this Saturday will be a sad day for your child and your family as the children were due to make their First Holy
Communion. I will be thinking of you all and hope the day goes ok for you all.
This weekend Bishop Denis Nulty made a video especially for the First Holy Communion Classes- it is well worth a watch!!!
A video message from Bishop Denis about First Holy Communion
ttps://www.kandle.ie/message-from-bishop-denis-fnd. or-all-preparing-for-first-holy-
communion/ He also includes a booklet that can be printed out, giving lots of useful tips on how to keep preparing at home. I will try
to attach it (if it’s not too big). If it doesn’t load, just log onto kandle.ie and you will find it there under ‘Preparing for
First Holy Communion’.
I hope all this is ok,
Will be thinking of ye all on Saturday and sending ye all best wishes,
Helena Quinn

David Williams is doing a free audio reading every day at 11am. https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses (We cannot
overemphasise the importance of your child reading regularly).
The Primary Planet and News Flash will be published as an online magazine from April onwards, while related exercises, quizzes and
activities will be posted on the website daily.

What is Seesaw?
• Seesaw is a secure online journal where students can document and reflect on their learning and complete activities set by their teachers.
• Your child will be able to add the things they are working on (including photos, videos, worksheets, drawings and voice recordings) to their Seesaw
journal and their teacher can give them feedback.
• Seesaw class will be used by your child to complete the activities or upload their work.
• Teachers can also add activities for the children to complete and short videos sharing new learning opportunities and to go through some tricky
concepts in subjects such as Maths. Students and families, we will be using Seesaw for home learning.
All the work that your child has uploaded to Seesaw will be on the journal part.
• Activities is where any new activities that the teacher assigns will be and inbox is for any messages or announcements.
• Underneath the activities the teacher can give feedback.
Please sign in with your Home Learning code following the steps below:
1. Go to https://web.seesaw.me on a computer. Or install the Seesaw Class iOS or Android app.
2. Tap “I’m a Student”.
3. Scan or type in your Home Learning code.
4. Post to your journal, respond to activities, and view class announcements.
5. Remember, this code is like a password. Keep it safe!
If there are two children in the house using Seesaw
• You can log in and out of the app (different codes for each child) or
• One child can log in using the app and another child can log in using the browser
[email protected] – for any questions or in case of a misplaced code.
