Creative Ceramic Creations The Art Room has been buzzing with excitement this term as all Year Four children learn about the technical and specialised properties of clay. The children have studied the texts of ancient illuminated manuscripts and designed their own letter using their initials as inspiration, which finally led to them creating some magnificent and complex ceramic plaques. Once the kiln has finished creating its magic, the work will be showcased in the Art Room! Well done Year Four!

Miss Fitzsimons, Head of Art

Year Five and Six Netball v Greenbank Y6 LBHS played a very confident game against Greenbank School. Rebekah teamed up with Maryam to shoot for the first half of the match and they were fed plenty of balls from Marnie and Bharathi, which were converted. Tara was strong throughout, keeping the GA out of the semi circle for much of the game while

Haleemah fought hard against the GS. Throughout the game, Esha made quite a few intercepts to turn the ball over, giving LBHS possession of the ball. Rebekah and Maryam found their scoring rhythm with the final score 23- 2 to LBHS. A confident play throughout from all the girls, lots of team spirit and a pleasure to watch. Y5 The match started off very closely, pretty much goal for goal and the 2nd quarter saw LBHS trail by one goal 1- 2. There were a few sloppy passes and static play which enabled Greenbank to take the advantage. The 3rd quarter saw LBHS get back in the match, our passing improved, as did our movement off the ball. The ball was passed down the court with balance allowing Aarya and Maddie B to combine in the shooting circle to score. Bella scored a fantastic goal from the edge of the shooting circle to take the final score to 6 -2...well played to all.
