The term is moving along very quickly and it is so enjoyable to see all our children back, bringing the vibrancy back into our school environment. A warm welcome to all our new students and their families. We also welcome Elaine Fox to our staff. Elaine has joined our team of fantasc support staff. Welcome to the OLR team! We are looking forward to seeing as many parents/caregivers at our Learning Conversaons this evening. This is a great opportunity for us to plan forward aſter online learning through lockdown. Our Learning Conversaons are for Year 3 to 8 students (Rooms 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9). The meengs are in 10 minute sessions. The sessions will be with you (parents/caregivers) and your childs teacher, no children are required to be at these sessions. Communicaon Survey - Thank you for all the responses, we have received 82/183 (families) so far. We would really appreciate you compleng the Signmee Communicaon Survey which was emailed to you last week. Enrolments for 2021 close on 31st August 2020. If your child is turn 5 in 2021 and you are intending to enrol your child at OLRS, please collect an enrolment form from the office. OR if you know of other family members or friends who have children who are turning 5 in 2021 and are interested, please get them to contact the school office to book an appointment regarding their childs enrolment. ICAS Assessments: This year we are offering the ICAS Assessments in English, Mathemacs and Science for Year 5 to 8 students. Please complete the Signmee form NO LATER THAN Monday 27th July, 3pm (late entries will not be accepted) if you would like your child to parcipate. Each assessment will be completed online and costs $16 per assessment. Call for Expressions of Interest: We are forming a commiee of staff, board, students and OLRS whānau to develop a new school logo. If you are interested in being apart of this excing journey, please contact the school office. Road Patrol - Adult helpers needed please, for Wednesday and Friday aſternoons at the front gate crossing and Thursday aſternoon at the back gate. Please email [email protected]. A reminder to please wait at the gate for a staff member to register you as you come in, before and aſter school, while we are sll in Level 2.
