The precious moments when these dreadlocks are shaven arecelebrated in a series ofritual ceremonies known as the ruwatdn anak gimbal.

The ceremonies a(e started with the procession of the dreadlock kids around thevillagc. Thcy are paraded on Javanese traditional horse drawn carriage or Dokar guardedb,v l,Ianggala Yudha or royal troops and followed by various traditional art processions.Then they are taken to the Arjuna Temple in the Dieng Temple complex where the ritualof the dreadlock hair cutting will take place.
