How to Logon to your ComputerUse the information below to login to your BASIS.ed computer.
Once you receive your laptop click on Control + Alt + Delete to unlock the logon screen. Then, type in your user name and the temporary password to be able to login.

How to Reset your PasswordAfter you have logged in to your computer the first time you can change the password by following the below steps:
1. After you successfully logon to the laptop click on Control+Alt+Delete on your keyboard.
2. Click on change a password. You will be asked to provide the old password and the new password as shown below.
3. Use the following guidelines to choose a new password Password must contain at least 1 letter Password must contain at least 1 number Password must be at least 8 characters long Password should not contain your name or part of your name Password should be changed every 90 days
Note: Your password will be the same for Computer Access, Skype for Business, SharePoint and Email. For BeLA, PowerSchool and GradeCam you will be given a separate username and password.

How to Get Help
If you run into any issues at all please feel free to reach out to your Local Technology Coordinator! You may use any of the following methods to contact the IT department for support. The fastest way to get support is to open a helpdesk ticket by following the steps below:
1. Visit the support URL http://help.basised.com or http://basised.happyfox.com)
2. Select your location based on the category and fill out the required information.
3. Click on the Create Ticket button.

Create ticket via email
To create your support tickets through email follow the below steps:
1. Compose an email to the Helpdesk email ID provided to your IT Coordinator
Example: To open a ticket for BASIS.ed Scottsdale School, we would compose an email to help
2. Specify a subject line with keywords that quickly summarizes your problem.
3. Describe the issue you are facing in detail. Add screenshots wherever you feel is necessary.
4. Provide necessary steps to reproduce the issue.

BASIS.ed SharePoint Overview
SharePoint is a document and content management solution used at BASIS.ed for collaboration within your school and across the BASIS.ed network.
SharePoint's features include:
Full integration with the Microsoft Office suite, allowing you to create and edit SharePoint documents right from the full version Word, Excel, or PowerPoint
Office Web Apps for making on the fly changes to a document right in the web app Versioning setting allowing you to view or restore previous versions of documents at any point in time Item-level security letting you maintain granular control over who has access to your files Collaborative project management through Microsoft Project integration Robust enterprise search Available anywhere in the world with internet connection secured over SSL (just like your bank)
You can access the main page of SharePoint at https://dosc.basised.com/. If it prompts you, login use your email address and password.

SharePoint Employee DirectoryThe SharePoint Directory is a tool that enables you to find employees within the BASIS.ed network.
To access the employee directory, follow the steps below:
1. Access SharePoint website https://docs.basised.com/2. Under “resource for everyone” click on directory as shown below
3. You will then be able to search for a specific employee by name, location, or position.
To learn more about SharePoint site for your school, contact your Technology Coordinator or your manager.

EmailBASIS.ed uses Microsoft Outlook for email communication across the organization. We recommend using outlook for the best experience.
How do I access my email?
1. To launch Outlook that is installed on your computer: Click on the start menu then in the search bar type Outlook as shown below.

2. Using Outlook Web App: In the URL bar of any web browser type in mail.basised.com. This will bring you to a log on screen.
Note: Your password is the same as the one you use to log into your computer.

How to Add your BASIS.ed Email to your Cell Phone
Android Devices:
1. Go to your settings and then click “Accounts.”2. Click “Add Account.”
3. Select Microsoft Exchange Active Sync.

4. Enter your email and password.
5. Check use secure connection SSL. If server name is requested type in outlook.office365.com.

6. After authentication, check the boxes associated with the features you want to include such as sync contacts, sync calendar, etc...
7. Click next. In the next screen, you will need to give the account a name such as BASIS.ed.

Apple Devices including iPhone and iPad
1. Go to your Device settings.
2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars and choose “Add Account” option:

3. From listed options, select “Exchange.”
4. Enter your email address and password.

5. Add your email address and server outlook.office365.com. Domain should be left blank.
6. Select the sync for the following services Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders and Notes.
7. Once your email is configured, wait 10-15 minutes to allow the server to push all your emails to your phone.

Skype for Business Introduction
BASIS.ed offers Skype for Business for collaboration and communication. Skype for Business will provide many features including:
Making calls Instant Messaging Video Sharing and Collaboration
Every BASIS.ed computer has Skype for Business installed on their computer. You can open it as shown below.
How do I login to Skype for Business?
Once you click on the Skype for Business icon the software will open and you can login using your username and password(same as your email and computer password).

Epson ProjectorMost of BASIS.ed schools uses Epson projectors in conference rooms and classrooms.Every computer should have the EasyMP software installed to be able to connect to your projector.
Use the below connection methouds to connect the Projector to your computer:
1. Using HDMI cable: The HDMI cabel should be connected to the projector behind the wall. You should see faceplate to connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your computer as shown below. Once that is connected click on “Function key + F4” on the keyboard to be able to see the projector screen from your laptop.
2. Using VGA cableIn the older campses you shold see faceplate to connect the VGA cable to your VGA port on your computer as shown below.

3. Using Network Connection
Step1: Click on the start manu and then search for EasyMP Network Projection
Step2: Open EasyMP Network projection and select Advanced Connection Mode

Step 3:After you select the connection mode and click OK then it will take you to the below screen to search for your projector over the network. Select your projector and click on connect as shown below.

Office365 “OneDrive”
What is OneDrive?
OneDrive for Business is an integral part of Office 365 or SharePoint Server, and provides place in the cloud where you can store, share, and sync your work files. You can update and share your files from any device with OneDrive for Business. You can even work on Office documents with others at the same time.
How much space do I have in OneDrive?
Each users will have 1TB of space available to use.
Can I sync OneDrive files to my computer?
Yes, there is an option to install OneDrive application locally on your machine and then sync it to your office365 once Drive account.
Who can I share files with?
One Drive allows you to share files with internal or external users.
Where Can I access OneDrive?
OneDrive can be accessed using Web version or OneDrive application

How to install and sync OneDrive to my computer using OneDrive application
To enable the sync on your laptop you will have to login to office365 as shown in the previous step and then click on Sync icon as showing below to allow you to install OneDrive

PowerSchool
PowerSchool is a Student Information System that includes many features, among those: Management, PowerTeacher Gradebook, State Reporting and Schedules.
Find out more about PowerSchool at www.powerschool.com.

BeLABeLA is a resource to create syllabi and manage courses with lesson units, topic characteristics, activities, and completion reports.
Benefits of using BeLA:

How to optain a username and password?
1. The first time you log into BeLA you will need to click “Forgot your password?” underneath the login box.

2. Enter your BASIS.ed email address, and then click “Send Me Link to Reset My Password”. This will send a temporary password to your BASIS.ed email, which you can then use to login the first time.
After logging in for the first time with your temporary password you will be prompted to create you own password.
From then on out you can log into BeLA using your email as a username and the password you created. Your manager will be providing you with more training.
