WOODLAND INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL WEEKLY NOTES March 14, 2018 On Friday, March 16th, Woodland Intermediate students will be released at 11:20 am. Intramural boys volleyball will be starting on Tuesday, March 27th. Please see the attached per- mission slip for more information. It is soon going to be that time of year when we will be administering the state assessment, the Forward Exam. Testing will take place during the week of April 16th. As in the past, we ask that families try to avoid testing times for appointments, vacations, etc. as the missed test will then need to be made up during one of our make-up times. Make-up tests will be administered during the week of April 23rd and the week of April 30th. Thank you in advance and please contact your child's teacher with any questions. As we approach the end of the third quarter, please be aware that the “Grades” tab in Infinite Campus will be closed to parents starting on Friday, March16th and opening again on March 29th after 5:00 pm. Closing the “Grades” tab allows teachers the opportunity to enter student grades and create the progress reports. On March 29 th you can access your child’s report card via Infinite Campus. Please note that when reviewing your student’s report card, teacher com- ments do not show up in the portal when looking at the main Grades screen. They do, however, if you access the Reports screen. From there, you can generate a report card in pdf format that will have all the comments. If you need to set up your parent portal account in Infinite Campus, please click here. The Tundra Tales Reading Program is in full swing and will continue until March 25th. Please make sure to turn in reading logs for the previous week each Monday to collect a Packers book- mark. Note: If a student is out on Monday when reading logs are due, please email your child’s reading log to their teacher on Monday morning. All students who complete the entire program will receive a voucher to the Packers Hall of Fame. Click here to access the letter outlining de- tails of the program and weekly reading logs. Hard copies are available in the elementary office. Happy Reading! Mark your calendars! The 5th & 6th grade bands and the after school choir will be per- forming on Tuesday, April 17th at 6:30 pm in the Woodland gym. There will also be an art show in the cafeteria before and after the concert. Please come to enjoy some wonderful music and take some time to admire the incredible works of art created by our Woodland students. Please see the attached flyer or visit the KASD website and check out the Community Events page for more great opportunities and activities for your family.
