All the students in the school have been allocat-ed to one of the coloured houses. The school will be using the Coloured House for organisa-tion of events and school structures. HOME ADDRESS AND CONTACT NUMBERS Are your home and phone details up to date? We have many instances where these are changed and the school is not notified. Please let the school know if these details have changed recently. We need to be able to get in contact with you when children are sick or not picked up.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWWC) It is a legal requirement that all volunteers and workers involved in any school must have a WWWC. A WWWC can be obtain by completing the online application form at https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/wwccu/onlineapplication.doj The applicant then takes their required evi-dence to Watergardens Post Office after the online application is logged to complete the process. There is no charge for Volunteers.
We value parent help in our school canteen, at school organised days and excursions but you must understand that without a WWWC we cannot include you. Please see the office for help if needed to complete this form as staff are happy to be of assistance.
Mother’s Day Recently the school held its annual Mother’s Day Stall providing the children with an oppor-tunity to buy little gifts for their mums. Such stalls are not able to happen unless we have a dedicated group of helpers to prepare the gifts and then to sell the gifts on the day. Can I please acknowledge the hard work of Trudy Whitfield who co-ordinates the Mother’s Day

Exciting News:
MATHLETICS is back!
What is Mathletics?
Mathletics is an Australian program which aims to help every student improve their own math
skills and knowledge. It is an online, interactive, e-learning resource that allows the students
to practice skills at their own level and their own pace. Mathletics challenges students in all
areas of math through a game environment and allows them to select the level of difficulty of
the tasks.
Students can personalise their own profile within the program, monitor the number of activi-
ties completed and see the ones that they have yet to master. Efforts of the students are recog-
nised and rewarded through online certificates and credits.
Classroom teachers are able to manage the content and monitor the progress of all the stu-
dents within their own class. They can use this information to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of each of their students.
How much does this cost?
The school has covered the cost of Mathletics for all students at SAEPS to use which means
that there is no additional cost to families. Mathletics can be accessed both at home and at
school through the use of an individual login that each of the students has been given.
Where do I find Mathletics?
www.mathletics.com.au
Use the user name and password that the student has been given.
Have fun with math!
If you have any questions/comments regarding Mathletics, please speak to your child’s
classroom teacher.
Along with families, we are looking forward to celebrating the successes of
all our Mathematicians. Sharon Rogers & Andrea Markham-Numeracy Coaches
