The school ran from 1834–1880 on VasileLupu street (called Dobrogeanu Ghereaat present), in a house purchased by The Trusteeship of Schools in Moldavia, from Lord Gheorghe Sturdza, and reconstituted with donations and money from the Diocese.

Successor of the three previous schools, School with Grades from 1st to 8th, No.1,

has run in the current building since 1976. As a school for future, it provides training education at a high quality standard.

125 years ago (27th of March 1876),

Mihail Eminescu (1850—1889),

as a school inspector, was present in the building of the current School No. 1,

signing a “Report on the Primary School for Girls, No. 1, Roman, a school

founded in 1858.
