Business written on an agent’s own life or immediate family will not count towards qualifications. SCOTTSDALE TRAVEL WITH TRANSAMERICA RULES Qualifiers must have an active contract with Transamerica Life Insurance Company and be in good standing with the company at the time of the convention. Each person will only qualify for one room at the convention, even if if they qualify personally and as an MGA. Qualifiers may bring a spouse or one adult guest to the convention. The trip is not transferable. If the qualifier cannot attend the convention, no other compensation will be offered. Family Friendly This is a family friendly event. Transportation to and from the convention for children will be the agent’s responsibility, and fees will apply to cover convention expenses for children ages 3-18. Details on fees will be available at a later date. Transamerica Family Markets is a marketing business unit of Transamerica Life Insurance Company offering life insurance and other financial services and products through independent life insurance agents. A 1099 will be issued in accordance with the rules of the IRS. The 1099 amount will be based on travel reimbursement, hotel charges, activities, and an average for food and beverage. Under current tax laws, gross income includes amounts received as prizes and awards. Accordingly, the value of your trip will be treated as additional compensation for the purposes of any applicable tax reporting.
