Synopsis:

Together Roger and Ray survive barely. Most times the days work will determine if they eatthat night or have electricity.

Because of the economy, the scrapping business has become highly competitive. Once thescrapyards were lined with dilapidated old trucks and junker cars dropping of loads ofrecyclables, but today the line holds sporty SUVs, Lexus’, Mercedes, and luxury cars and trucksof all kinds. Nobody gives away their recyclables anymore because everyone is pinchingpennies, and they know that trash is worth money, so everyday Roger and Ray have to scrapdoubly hard to make a living as a scrapper.

Patti is having trouble finding work and Pam is having trouble keeping sober. Together one day,the two are at the flea market and bump into Roger. In no time at all, they strike up an allianceand make plans to scrap together.

Patti and Pam hang out with Roger and do “favors” for him in an attempt to get on his good sideso he will take them scraping and teach them the tricks of the trade.

Roger has “the man” up his ass on a nearly daily basis. The city has clean yard ordinances andRoger finds them hard to adhere to. His “collectables” spill over from the backyard to the front. And that’s when the man shows up giving him warnings or citations to clean up his yard. Rogerhas an inoperable vehicle in his driveway that has to go or else the city is going to fine Roger.

Pam and Patti agree to help Roger move the car, and that’s when the adventure begins. Theteam can’t afford a tow truck, so they illegally tow using a small chain. The car has no brakes, yet they have to move it across town. Tension and paranoia rises when they stumble upon anaccident, fearing the police, they hightail it out of there.

The bonds are made and the new team goes to work scraping in roadside bins, trash pick ups,
