Scalps materials dumped manually while containing dustKason CENTRI-SIFTER™ centrifugalscreeners are available with an integralbag dump station and dust collectorto remove bag scraps and other oversize contaminants from manuallydumped bulk materials while protecting the operator and plantenvironment against dust contamina-tion. Configured for installation on a mezzanine, the system gravity-discharges into process equipmentbelow. Dust is drawn onto cartridge filters that derive vacuum from a top-mounted exhaust fan, while pulse jetnozzles cause accumulated dust to fall into the screener.

Centrifugal DewateringScreener

Extracts more moisture thanconventional screeners Adjustable, inclined CENTRI-SIFTER™centrifugal dewatering screeners feature a low-pitched internal feedauger that moves high loadings ofmaterial into and through the inclinedscreen cylinder. This allows the unit to be inclined up to 40˚ as rotatingpaddles impart centrifugal force, moving the material in a spiral paththrough the cylinder. The inclineincreases dwell time of material withinthe chamber and the drainage rate of free liquid, while causing moistureto remain near the downhill inlet, resulting in greater dryness of discharged solids.

Circular Fluid Bed Dryers, Coolers, Moisturizers

Circular Vibratory Fluid Bed Processor

Dries, cools, moisturizes withgreater efficiency at lower costThis award-winning design increasesefficiency, cuts cleaning time andreduces cost, compared with rectangular fluid bed dryers, coolersand moisturizers. The circular shapewith quick-disconnect housing requiresonly one air inlet and outlet, and isinherently rigid, allowing materials of construction to be down-gauged,vibratory motors to be down-sized,and associated components to beeliminated. Reductions in material, required welding, and labor, decreasecost especially when finished to sanitary standards. Models from 18 to84 in. (460 to 2135 mm) in diameter.

High Temperature Fluid BedBatch Dryer

Dries small batches of bulkmaterials at temperatures to600°F (315°C)Kason’s Fluid Bed Processing System isoffered with an accessory package forbatch drying at temperatures to 600°F(315°C). The self-contained systemcomes complete with a fluid bedprocessor, heater, blower, cyclone separator and controls on a caster-mounted frame, ready for connectionto a material inlet/outlet and powersource. The 18 in. (460 mm) diameterlaboratory/pilot plant model showndries up to one cu. ft. (28 liters) percycle, after which a valve at the spoutautomatically opens to evacuate thematerial.

Medium Capacity Fluid BedProcessing System

Dries, cools or moisturizes bulk material on a batch or continuous basisKason’s 40 in. (1016 mm) diameter Circular Fluid Bed Dryer satisfies arange of medium volume productionapplications not satisfied by rectangu-lar systems, and does so with highoperating efficiency at low capital cost.Because the circular design is inherent-ly more rigid, lighter materials andsmaller motors can be used, and crossbraces eliminated, reducing materialand fabrication costs significantly—particularly when contact surfaces are finished to sanitary standards.Complete systems can be consolidatedon caster-mounted frames.

Medium/High Capacity FluidBed Processing System

Outperforms rectangular systems of equivalent areaKason’s Circular Fluid Bed Processingsystems in diameters of 48, 60, 72 and84 in. (1220, 1525, 1830 and 2135 mm)dry, cool or moisturize up to 10 tons/hof bulk material, with higher operatingefficiency and at lower capital costthan possible with rectangular systems. Inherently rigid, Kason’s circular design utilizes lighter materialsof construction and smaller motors. It also eliminates the need for crossbraces and multiple air inlets/outlets,significantly reducing material andfabrication costs—especially whensystems are finished to sanitary standards.

Double Deck Fluid Bed Processor

Reduces capital cost, energyusage and floor spaceKason’s patented Double-Deck, Circular Vibratory Fluid Bed Processoroffers unprecedented reductions incapital cost, energy usage and floorspace per pound of product beingdried or cooled. The addition of anupper deck makes use of heated orcooled air that would otherwise beexhausted after passing through the lower deck, and requires little to no increase in the size or energy consumption of imbalanced-weightmotors, heat exchangers or blowerfans, nearly doubling capacity and efficiency with little to no increase in operating cost or floor space.

Fluid Bed Batch Systems forLabs and Pilot Plants

Dries, cools or moisturizes small volumes of bulk materialefficiency, economicallyKason Circular Fluid Bed Processors in 18, 24 and 30 in. (460, 610 and 760mm) diameters dry, cool or moisturizebulk foods, pharmaceuticals andchemicals in batch sizes typical of laband pilot plant applications. Availablefor purchase or rental, they offer thesame performance advantages as larger diameter models, allowing accurate projections of production-scale efficiencies from test results.
