Il Grade 3 consisteva di una conversazione di 7 minuti con l’esaminatore

Il Grade 4 comprendeva 5 minuti di conversazione e 5 minuti riguardanti il Topic, un tema a scelta, sul quale l’esaminatore faceva domande di vario genere

My topic: My best friend• My best friend is Pasquale, he’s thirteen years old.

He’s taller and thinner than me. He’s shyer thanme but he loves smiling.

• We usually go to the stadium together to watchsome football matches. He loves Juventus and I don’t agree with him. We have lots of things in common and I’ve known him since we were twoyears old. He is always with me when I havesome problems or when something is bad.

Manga are Japanese comics, but not only this. Manga is a style of life, because when youread them, you say “gulp”, “gasp”, “sigh”…and all theseexpressions. They are differentfrom normal comics, becauseyou read manga from right toleft, and normal comics from leftto right.

My twin sister is veryfunny, but also verylazy: every time shehas to do something, she grumbles and sheasks someone else todo what she doesn’t want to do: that’s whyshe sometimes makesme angry!

Simona also wears T-shirts of her favouritegroups: these T-shirts are amazing, but

very large.

La tutor• Mi è piaciuto essere tutor di questo PON perché è bello di tanto in tanto

cambiare ruolo: non essere più l’insegnante, ma la persona che può occuparsi dei ragazzi a un livello più personale, osservarli e accompagnarli nel loro percorso, essere un po’ complice. I ragazzi che hanno frequentato sono stati molto motivati, hanno infatti deciso di frequentare un corso extrascolastico, talvolta anticipandosi i compiti per il giorno dopo, talvolta studiando poi fino a tardi la sera, dopo essere tornati a casa. Li ho visti passare dalla confusione di chi si sente sopraffatto dal non capire una madrelingua che non dice una parola di Italiano, alla disinvoltura e alla grande conquista di chi comprende e si esprime in modo ricco e fluido in una lingua che non è la propria. Li ho visti man mano conoscersi meglio tra loro e diventare gruppo. Così come mi ha fatto tenerezza vederli tesi e agitati appena prima dell’esame, per poi vederli sorridenti e rinfrancati alla fine. E tutti hanno lavorato bene e dato il meglio di sé. Ed è bello, ora, quando sono in giro per la scuola, salutarli vedendoli fiorire e pronti per spiccare il volo.

• Mi è piaciuto molto il fatto che la conversazione fosse esclusivamente in inglese; in questo modo anche il mio pensiero era in inglese e mi sentivo una vera e propria madrelingua
