Faculty

Jennifer Hamann RN, BSN, PHN, CLNC is a past director of California Nurses for Ethical Standards. She is presently giving direct care in a sub-acute physical rehab hospital in Texas.

Christopher Kazor Ph.D. is a profes-sor of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is the author of nine books. His research on issues of ethics, philosophy and religion have found their way into many print and TV outlets.

Brian Johnston is Western Regional Di-rector of the National Right to Life Commit-tee, author of the book “Death As a Sales-man,” contributing editor of the book, "Dying of Thirst: Medicine's Intentional Neglect of the Non-Terminal," and a producer of the companion documentary film.

Betty Odello RN, BSN, MN. Adjunct professor of Philosophy, L.A Pierce College (retired). End of Life Committee Chair for the L.A. Archdiocese Commission on Life Issues. Presently a Northridge Hospital Medical Ethics Committee member.

Sister Marie Estelle, O.C.D. LVN has a Certificate of Bioethics, and is Director of Staff Development at Santa Teresita Manor in Duarte, CA, a Skilled Nursing Facility with assisted living for the elderly. She has been working with the elderly and dying since 2001.

Cristen Krebs RN, MSN Ph.D. is founder and Executive Director of the Catholic Hos-pice of Wexford, PA. She is founder and Ex-ecutive Director of HALO (Hospice Advocacy and Leadership Organization).

Alex Shadenberg B.A. has been the Executive Director of the Euthanasia Pre-vention Coalition in Canada since its found-ing in 1999. He is a founding member of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition - Europe which began in February 2013.
