Note From CameronWith the weather chang-ing, holidays around the corner and the ongoing Shade Hotel construction I wanted to make a few points: .Weather is a changing so make sure to button down hatches, close port holes,

look for potential areas for unwanted water to enter cabin and have good, proper mooring lines that are secured TAUGHT..Shade Hotel- the parking lot adjacent to Marina Office building and Cheesecake Factory is under current improvements and coming along nicely..We receive a lot of UPS and FedEx boxes and with online holiday shopping we anticipate many more in the next few months. Please be aware that Port Royal Marina isn’t responsible for storing shipped goods or lost/stolen items..Stored vehicles- they are starting to pop up more frequently. Please be reminded that storing your vehicle in the marina parking lot is not allowed. Also, bikes and other storage isn’t allowed on the docks..We are collecting email addresses for billings and so far we have gotten an awesome response. If you haven’t done so you please sign up...it’s a great way to reduce our impact on the enviornment..Lobster season is on...If you’ve got a great picture we can use in a future newsletter send them in!.December 13th is the Holiday Boat Parade. It’s a fun event for the family and I would recommend you check it out if you have the time.

Have a great Christmas & New Year’s...be safe!

PoRT RoYAl mARinA’S 2014 ToY dRiVe

Port Royal Marina in conjunction with U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program are pleased to introduce the Fourth Annual CYM-Port Royal Toy Drive. Our goal is to bring joy to at least 250 children.

We request that you donate only new toys and that they are safe and appropriate for infants, children or teenagers. Please be particularly attentive to toys that may pose a safety hazard, such as those with sharp edges or that contain small, removable, or easily breakable parts. Also, please do not gift wrap the toys, as it is necessary to check the safety and appropriateness of every toy for each individual child.

Holiday donations delivered to the Marina Office in October, November or early December are most helpful. Your efforts to deliver toys early (by Dec. 15th) will be greatly appreciated.

Through the efforts of this toy drive, we hope to make a tremendous difference in the lives of those less fortunate children in our community. On behalf of the children to whom you will bring great joy ... “Thank You” for your support and generosity.

On Saturday December 13, 2014 Santa and his elf will be visiting the Redondo Beach Seaside Lagoon & the Redondo Beach Pier through-out the day with the boat parade following at 5:00pm.

The whole harbor area along Harbor Drive lights up with many people lighting their boats in the Marinas throughout the holiday season. The boat parade can be seen from many restaurants, the pier or along the break wall. For more details call (310) 376-2459
