It affords more of an opportunity than the spring musical to delve into acting techniques and dramatic interpretation. Those participating on stage will study and apply many acting techniques. Students are also needed for various crew roles such as set building, lighting and sound. A few select students will also be chosen by application and interview process to fill the highly interactive assistant director and stage manager positions. Auditions will be held in September and the play goes up in November

Watch the music board outside of G004 for current information. Rehearsals will begin immediately after selecting the cast. Crews will convene in December. The musical will be held Feb 26th – March 5. The time commitment from Dec-March is extensive. However, the rewards are amazing. If you join the Seaholm musical you will form close and long lasting friendships. Special School Activities

Field Day

Field Day is one of Seaholm’s longest running and largest activities. Field Day is a competition between the two classes in the upper school (11 vs. 12) and the two classes in the lower school (9 vs. 10). The competition events include: Banner, Charity, Costumes, Field Activities, Floor Show, Logo, March, Song and Deadline Points. Five judges from the community award points for each competition. There is a first and second place for each event for both competitions. There are two Field Day class winners. The emphasis is always placed on class unity, excellence of execution and simplicity by the class, and not on any individual. Field Day is held in the fall. Contact your parent class representative or class officers with questions.
