DESIGN GOALCreate a mechanism that offers the athletes choice of camber, while increasing accessibility to the sport through lower cost.
MODEL+
MAVERIC’s proof of concept model shows how the bevel gear system transfers the rotational motion of the wheel through a flex shaft, to the gears to change the camber of the wheels. Modified RC car parts and 3d printed gears were used in the model.

20MAVERIC’S interface is based on simplicity. Once the clutch handle is engaged, the athlete utilizes the natural motion of the chair. Rolling forward increases the angle of the wheels, offering them choice and personalization to find what feels right to them. The camber is reduced by rolling backwards.

angelBAND’s form has several influencing factors. The technology required for the devices intended function, the average size of 2-5 year old’s wrists and simplistic shapes that Angie is familiar with.
Reverse Iontophorosis TESTING TECHNOLOGY
WHAT angelBAND utilizes transdermal glucose testing to monitor Angie’s blood glucose levels without having to draw blood. When not in use, it lives on its charging station that doubles as a night light. And when she outgrows the silicone band, the glucometer is easily placed into a new one.

angelBAND’s glucometer automatically checks and records Angie’s blood sugar every 15 minutes. It also allows Angie to test it herself by pressing the droplet button and simply displaying if her levels are high, just right or low.
In the case of an emergency, angelBAND sends an alert to Angie’s parents and au pair, letting them know the severity of the problem and displaying to anyone around Angie that there is am emergency.

WHAT
Exploration of a new material, bamboo multiply provided by Bamboo Revolution, was the key component of this project. The assignment was to create a small container and tool that reflects the sustainability of the bamboo multiply. A small scale production process should be utilized to create identical pieces

ASSEMBLY JIG+
Planter uses a three piece mold was used to assemble the laser cut side walls and the pre assembled base. The 15 degree angle of the side wall was determined by the angle of the dovetail router bit. A CNC was used to mill the mold pieces to stream-line the assembly process and ensures that identical pieces are reproduced.
