We can safely assume and indeed fondly hope that you are a lover of the sports. Sports, univer-sally the language of peaceful coexistence, a way of life, a refinement of the senses and a heighte-ing of awareness towards health. A tangible and intangible collection of talent: leadership vision, intuitive wisdom, priceless emotions, uninhibit-ed performance, tenacity and courage – are what essentially constitute the spirit of the sports.

The Rashid Alleem Premier League (RPL), falls in line with the vision of spreading positive energy and healthy environment in our society which also adheres to the 7th goal, i.e. GOOD HEALTH & WELL BEING of the 21 Alleem Sustainable Devel-opment Goals.

H.E Dr. Rashid Alleem, Founder & Executive Chairman of Alleem Research & Development Centre, is well-known personality working in the field of Sustainability. The organization was established on 17th November, 2015 with the mission; “Keep Challenging Tomorrow” and is a result of H.E’s 25 years experience in charity, government and semi-government agen-cies and travelling to more than 60 countries preaching sustainability and inclusive growth.

Our motto, indeed, our very reason for being, has been our love for the sports: we nurture them, believe in them, and create for them a haven for expression and identity and, most importantly, a happy space to spread their wings. The Rashid Alleem Premier League (RPL) began its journey during the holy month of Ramadan in May 2016, conquered many “first”, battled obstacles and emerged strong each and every time. Season one was battled between eight teams which were doubled in Season two as 16 teams came forward to take the challenge. Season three witnessed great heights as RPL management opened the space to accommodate 64 teams. Eventually 56 teams battled in a one month long tournament where over 750 players participated and 71 matches were played to witness the grand finale at Sharjah International Cricket Stadium on 30th of March 2018.

As the seasons are whizzing by, “RPL” is redefin-ing the integral role by making the sport a pres-ence and a force to be reckoned with on a big stage.

I always preach in my messages throughout the world that if we want to build a better tomor-row, a stable economy, we need to merge businesses with society.

We have seen how important businesses are and true sustainable businesses should be both mentally and physically fit. That is how we came up with the idea of Rashid Alleem Premier League.

The first season was very successful and held during the Holy month of Ramadan. The second season was held during winters and we could see the motivation among the people as we saw a crowd of over 2,000 people on the final day visiting with their families.

That is our message. We want the families to feel proud and the players to see that their beloved families are all in the stadium watching them play.

It was a dream for most of the players to be at the Sharjah International Cricket stadium which is famous worldwide, hence we decided to come up with this tournament as it is one of the most loved games by the Asians. Our idea is to encourage the young generation to work towards a better tomorrow as they are the leaders of tomorrow. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Mr. Bukhatir, H.E. Mr. Abdul Rahman and the team for organizing this tournament.
