The Product Guide has been produced to assist the professional solar thermal buyer/installer in their product choice and although the products listed are our best sellers, it is not an exhaustive list of everything that we carry.

Solar and Differential Temperature Controls

DeltaSol® AXA universal and robust differential controller. Deltasol AX has an adjustable target temperature for minimum or maximum temperature limitation (adjustable by micro switch). The enclosed silicone sealing code guarantees a protection against dripping water.

AX – full kit

DeltaSol® AL and AL-EThe DeltaSol® AL solar controller is a temperature differential controller that offers all vital functions for a standard solar thermal system. The controller is equipped with the comprehensible System-Monitoring-Display, which visualises the system parameters quickly and easily. For data communication, the controller has a RESOL VBus® to which additional modules such as remote displays or dataloggers can be connected.

Solar thermal systems are operated and controlled by solar controllers. RESOL differential temperature controllers are used in solar, heating and air-conditioning systems to initiate switching processes depending on thermal, hydraulic and environmental conditions. Apart from these basic functions, RESOL controllers offer a variety of options and functions for the optimum use of individual solar and heating systems.

Vbus® Accessories

VBus® is a simple 2 wire data bus system for connecting RESOL controllers to performance displays, dataloggers, computer systems and external modules. All VBus® devices use a common protocol so data can be freely shared between any compatible devices. The data can be downloaded and stored using RESOL Service Centre software and various connection options. Cable lengths up to 100m are possible.

Resol Data Logger (DL2)This additional module enables the acquisition and storage of large amounts of data (such as measuring and balance values of the solar system) over a long period of time. The DL2 can be confi gured and read-out with a standard internet browser via its integrated web interface. For transmission of the data stored in the internal memory of the DL2 to a PC, an SD card can be used.Data logger DL2


Resol GA3 Large Display (530mm x 630mm)The RESOL GA3 is a completely mounted large display module for visualisation of collector and storage temperatures as well as the heat quantity yield of the solar system via one 6-digit and two 4-digit 7-segment displays. Alarm Module (AM1)The Alarm module AM1 is designed to signal system failures. It is connected to the VBus® of the controller and issues an optical signal via the red LED if a failure has occurred. The AM1 also has a potential-free relay output, which can be connected to a building management system (BMS). Thus, a collective error message can be issued in the case of a system failure.

Resol Smart Display SD3 (smaller version of the GA3 150mm x 165mm)The RESOL Smart Display is designed for simple connection to RESOL controllers with RESOL VBus®. It is used for visualising data issued by the controller: collector temperature, storage temperature and energy yield of the solar thermal system. The use of high-effi ciency LEDs and fi lter glass assures a high optical brilliance and good readability even in poor visibility conditions and from a larger distance. An additional power supply is not required. Power supply is via the VbusSmart Display SD3

STA (Signal Translation Adapter)The adapter is used for controlling the pump via a PWM or 0-10 V signal. Via the VBus® the adapter receives information from the controller about the pump speed. The speed is converted into a PWM or direct voltage signal and put out to the corresponding terminals. A signal corresponding to the speed is only available if the corresponding relay is designed for pump speed control. Otherwise, a signal depending on the position of the relay, for the on or off state is transmitted.

VBus®/USBThe new VBus®/USB adapter is the interface between the controller and a personal computer. With its standard mini-USB-Port it enables a fast transmission of system data for processing, visualising and archiving as well as the parameterisation of the controller via the VBus®.

Interface adapter VBus®/LANThe VBus®/LAN interface adapter is designed for the direct connection of the controller to a PC or router. High Temperature Sensors (refers to sensor cable)

The RESOL V40 is a measuring instrument with a contactor for detecting the fl ow of water or water-glycol-mixtures and is used with the RESOL calorimeter. It is ready for use in the RESOL calorimeters. After a specifi c volume has passed, the V40 reed switch sends an impulse to the calorimeter. The heat quantity used is calculated by these impulses, the temperature difference and pre-defi ned parameters (glycol type, concentration, heat capacity etc.).

Brass, copper or stainless steel. Because of the short component length, it is recommended to use the immersion sleeve TH30 with the temperature sensor FKP5,5 or FRP5,5. Advice: Standard-screw connection thread of the immersion sleeves ½" Attention: In case of domestic water installations only use stainless steel immersion sleeves.

Overvoltage protection device, suitable for mounting outdoors. We generally recommend installing the overvoltage protection in order to avoid overvoltage damage at collector sensors, eg. caused by local lightning storms.

RESOL SP10 - Surge Protector

2-port valve VA20In its initial state, the valve RESOL VA20 is closed when currentless. The initial state can easily be inverted. The valve is operated by an electro-thermal actuator (with manual emergency operation) and has an operation time of approximately 3 min. This way there is no blow-back within the tube system throughout fl ow rate regulation. RESOL VA20 valve comes with connection screws made of brass.

A complete, modular range of pump stations and manifolds for all low temperature hot water heating applications. Available in different sizes to suit the design heating load - DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40 and DN50, all cased with sectional EPP insulation to minimise heat loss.

Modular Heating Circuit - K31PAW’s modular distribution manifold ideal for running a direct, unmixed heating circuit. Unit comes complete with spring-loaded check valve in return pipe enabling horizontal and overhead installation. A wide variety of pumps are available to suit various applications with manifold sizes up to DN 50.

Modular Heating Circuit – K33 with 3-way mixing valvePAW’s modular distribution manifold complete with 3-way mixing valve and 0 – 50% bypass for low temperature heating installations. Three port valve is controlled through a thermostat and sensor. Thermostat adjustable in the range of 20oC – 60oC, when set temperature is exceeded a switch is activated turning off the pump. Available in DN20 and DN25.

The manifolds are designed as a common header to feed multiple heating circuits and/or include multiple heat sources e.g. wood and gas backup, buffer store, sequenced boilers etc. Hydraulic separators and heat exchange stations can be used to isolate circuits if required. Sensor pockets, expansion vessel connections can all be accommodated.

All Gledhill Stainless Lite cylinders are manufactured using the very latest HCFC free EnviroFoam insulation. This has an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of zero and an industry leading Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 0.7. Tests show that the 50mm of EnviroFoam insulation injected into the case and covering both domes achieves astonishingly low levels of heat loss, which ensures it is fully compliant with 2010 Part L requirements for both new buildand replacement cylinders.

Torrent MultiFuelStore SolarThe Torrent MultiFuelStore SOL utiliseseither a sealed system boiler and/or anopen vented boiler as its primary energy source. It also has a high-effi ciency solar coil to allow the homeowner to benefi t from an alternative energy input. The cylinder comes fi tted with tappings for a woodburning or solid fuel boiler as standard, which can be blanked off if not required at the time of installation.
