What is affective filter?
The Affective Filter Hypothesis proposesthat a mental block caused by emotional(affective) factors can prevent learnersfrom acquiring a language.
In this case, if anxiety is high, self-esteem is low, or motivation is low, the
learner is blocking out input which canprevent them from acquiring language.
However, if the anxiety is low, self-esteemis high and motivation is high, it willeasier the process of acquiring knowledge.
