SECOND PROVISIONAL SELECT LIST

In pursuance to the Notification dated: 24.10.2019 cited at reference-l , recruitment process

to fill up the posts of Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) (Men & Women) including in-service was

initiated. After completing the recruitment process as per all the procedures laid down in the Cadre

and Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2009 & 2016, Provisional Select List for the unit of IGP,

Western Range, Mangaluru cited at reference-2 was published.

2. Whereas, after publishing Provisional Select List for the above post, selected candidates

were subjected for Medical Examination before duly constituted Medical Board. After the medical

examination, the report of the medical examination has been sent by the IGP, Western Range,

Mangaluru vide letter cited at reference-3. As per the report the candidate namely Sri. Akshay M

Totager, bearing Roll No:8307728 was declared as medically 'unfit'. Hence, his candidature has

been cancelled vide order cited at reference-4.

3. One candidate namely, Sri. K.S.Sathisha, who was selected in both lists i.e., Sub-Inspector

of Police (Civil)-2QO & 300 posts. He has expressed his unwillingness to join the post of Police

Sub-Inspector (Civil) in the list of 300 posts as per his affidavit cited at reference-5. Accordingly,

considering the request of the cancidate and his candidature has not been considered in this list.

4. Whereas, as prescribed in the Cadre & Recruitment (Amendment) Rules called "the

Kamataka State Police including Ministerial Services (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2009",

after the medical examination the Selection Authority has to prepare Second Provisional Select

List on the basis of result of the medical examination. This being the position, the following is the

Second Provisional Select List of the candidates selected for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police

(Civil) (Men & Women) including in-service in order of merit.

a) This list is subject to the verification of relevant documents like Proof of Age, Educational

Qualification, Selection Category I Group, Communityl Caste, Rural, Kannada Medium,

Project Displaced Person etc., issued by the competent Authorities and verification of

Character & Antecedents of the candidates.

b) The final appointment is subject to verification of Annual Performance Report and

Departmental Enquiries if any pending against any of the In-service candidates.

c) The fact that the name of the candidate figures in this list does not give himlher any legal

right for appointment to the post which will be dependent on the aforesaid conditions.

d) This select list is subject to the final decision of the Hon'ble Kamataka State

Administrative Tribunall Hon'ble High Court of Kamataka I Hon'ble Supreme Court of

India.
