    Plan A Section-Controlled Courses

    NACE Headquarters Responsibilities1. Provide a current list of NACE approved instructors who may present the courses.2. Provide marketing assistance for the event (if appropriate advance notice is given to HQ):

    o Listing in the Materials PerformanceEvent Calendar (if space permits)o Listing in the onlineMaster Calendaro One broadcast e-mail

    3. Providefacility/meeting room requirements-meeting room arrangements, and recommended miscellaneoussupplies.

    4. Provide use of instructor materials, slides, films, and practice lab equipment customarily used in classes.5. Provide a set of student materials for each registrant for the class.6. Ship course materials to and from location(s) specified by the Section contact. (all shipping expense to be paid by

    Section)7. Grade examinations, issue course completion certificates for participants who successfully complete courses, and

    issue grade notifications to all participants who take examinations.8. NACE Headquarters shall make payment to Section at the rate noted based on the percentages shown in the

    Revenue Sharing Plan.

    Section Responsibili ties1. Select, contact, and use only approved instructors from the list provided by NACE Headquarters. Section will notify

    Headquarters who the instructor will be 60 days prior to beginning of event.2. Important: Section has sole and complete responsibility for all aspects of arranging for instructor(s), including travel

    and lodging arrangements.3.

    Make arrangements to pay instructor fees and expenses directly with instructor(s), and make payment of same within30 days of course completion (Note: Many instructors request payment to be made at the event).4. Handle student registrations for all classes. Section agrees that only fully-paid registrants attend the program as

    participants, and that said registrants are fully-paid in advance of the program.5. Charge the same standard course registration fees (in U.S. dollars or equivalent local currency) as charged by NACE

    Headquarters unless Section has been approved forFlexible Pricing Options.6. Handle all details connected with facilities arrangements, logistics and any other details necessary for the successful

    presentation of the courses. Including provision of all audiovisual equipment.7. Provide refreshments to students during the course. Headquarters recommends: coffee and doughnuts in the

    mornings, sodas and snacks in the afternoons.8. Provide any supplementary student materials desired by sponsor and not provided by NACE Headquarters. (which

    may include, without limitation: notepads, name tags, pencils, masking tape, markers, supplemental reading material)9. Ensure that the instructors have the opportunity to photocopy the ParScore ScanTron exam sheets prior to shipping

    for security purposes. Assist instructor in shipping all necessary documentation, including exams, registration forms (ifavailable), student and instructor evaluations back to Headquarters immediately following the course (though it is

    ultimately the instructors responsibility). Reminder Do not ship Grades and or course paperwork back to NACEHeadquarters with the equipment/consumables.

    10. Return all unused student materials, and all other materials provided to sponsor by NACE Headquarters within 7business days of course completion. Sponsor agrees to reimburse NACE at cost for replacement of any audiovisualmedia (slides, videotapes, films, etc.) and/or course equipment (e.g., meters, half-cells, projectors, etc.) lost ordamaged.

    11. Section to make payment within 30 days of receiving the invoice from NACE Headquarters.

    Revenue Sharing for Plan A

    14 or less 100% of NACE standard course registration fees are paid to NACE by the Section

    15 to 19 40% of NACE standard course registration fees are paid to NACE by the Section

    20+ 25% of NACE standard course registration fees are paid to NACE by the Section

    Plan B Headquarters-Controlled Courses

    NACE Headquarters makes most arrangement for courses with the exceptions noted below:1. Section to assist with logistics to and from the course location and any other details necessary for the successful

    presentation of the course. ( NACE Headquarters to pay shipping expenses to and from the course location)2. Handle student registrations for all classes. Section agrees that only fully-paid registrants attend the program as

    participants, and that said registrants are fully-paid in advance of the program.3. Charge the same standard course registration fees (in U.S. dollars or equivalent local currency) as charged by NACE

    Headquarters unless Section has been approved forFlexible Pricing Options.

    Addi tional Section Responsibi li ty :Addi tional Revenuepaid to Section:

    Obtains afacility/meeting roomthat meets requirements and results in no meetingroom or AV fees to NACE HQ; provides meeting room information to NACE in timelymanner (for marketing and registrations for students)

    $300 a day

    Provides all refreshments to students (coffee/tea/water and danish/doughnuts in themorning, sodas/tea/water and cookies in the afternoon) at no cost to NACE (Note: ifheld in a hotel certain restrictions applyplease contact NACE with questions)

    $210 a day

    Note: The final decision to run an event rests with HQ and may encompass considerations such as the locationand date of similar classes, and the prospect for filling classes vs. using scarce resources to run half-filledclasses.
