HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFEGUIDELINES FOR GETTING WHAT YOU WANT

Achieving your goals is a game. You can be a winner provided you:

KNOW WHAT YOU WANT. Keep it S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable,Realistic and Timed.) If you can’t count it, measure it or describe it in detail, you prob-ably don’t know what you really want and can forget about getting it.

EXERCISE: Write down your goals, set priorities and keep on working on themuntil they seem right to you. Read your goals daily.

WANT IT ENOUGH. If you’re not getting what you think you want, then you maynot want it enough. Get in touch with what’s at stake for you if you don’t get it. Eitherincrease your desire and commitment or let the goal go and create another one.

EXERCISE: Keep checking to make sure it’s what you really want, not whatyou think you should want. Make your desire and commitment to the goalstronger than your excuses or reasons for not achieving it.

BELIEVE YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT. You are alwaysright. If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, youcan’t.

PERSISTENTLY GO AFTER IT. The single quality common to all successfulpeople is persistence. Take the actions necessary to create your life the way you reallywant it. Experience the obstacles and failures and keep on keeping on.

EXERCISE: Make an action plan and a daily “to do” list. Plan your work andwork your plan.

PAY THE PRICE. There are no free lunches. To get what you want, you must put in acertain amount of time and energy. And, you’ll have to change bad habits, go throughsome necessary internal growth and accept any disappointments.

EXERCISE: Ask, “What’s the price I have to pay to achieve this goal?” and,“Am I willing to pay the price?” Listen for your answer and act on it.

CREATE AN EMPOWERING VISION

WHY CREATE A VISION?

Because it works! One of the most important and valuable steps in building asuccessful GNLD business is to create a clear, strong, compelling vision of your futureexactly the way you want it. Your personal vision of a future with greater joy, peace,happiness and satisfaction than your present situation will be a powerful source ofcommitted self-motivation. It will keep you focused like a lazer beam on creating onespecific intended result - a fully realized vision.

HOW DO YOU CREATE A VISION?

Begin by making a list of what’s most important to you. Include both the materialthings you want and your values. Where will you live? Who will your friends andrelationships be? What kind of home, car and possessions will you have? What will youearn? What will you do with your free time? How will you contribute to others andwhat impact will you have on the world? Etc.

Then write and rewrite a “Moment in Time” movie script for five years fromnow. Stretch as far as you can believe. Make it about a day when you’re feelingespecially joyful, empowered and successful. Write it in the first person/present tenseand be positive, specific and vivid. Include passionate emotion by involving all yoursenses - what you see, hear, smell and feel. And, by all means, make it a glorious,spectacular day.

Here are some other ideas. Create a scrap book of pictures that support yourvision and look at it daily. Include a mock paycheck of your future income. Put your“script” on an endless loop cassette tape and play it when you’re riding in the car,doing dishes or exercising. Be creative!

Finally, read your vision once or twice a day - morning and/or night. See it, feelit, experience it and your mind will soon accept it as a “done deal.” Focusing on astrong, clear empowering vision for yourself will change your life.
