Academia – Industry Partnership

Create a learning environment for graduate students from across the nation

Provide:– Silicon Valley industry best practices – internships

at advanced technology developers and users– Academic rigor – seminar series with instructors

from Stanford, UC Berkeley, San José State and Silicon Valley industry partners

– Professional relationship-building in a living-learning environment – San José State on-campus accommodations

– Financial support – Housing and travel stipends, internship salaries at the prevailing rate

June 2 – August 10 Four days a week:

– Internships with security-oriented responsibilities– On-job mentoring

10 companies– Mix of technology and financial

companies– Xilinx, Visa, Sun, Cisco, Yahoo,

Google, eBay, Intel, deloitte, RingCube, Symantec

– Intellectual property rights– Professional ethics and responsibilities– Surveys of core issues, concepts and technologies related to

TRUST– High wow-factor research and development areas– Review of industry (best) practices
