Technostream in Brief

Technostream, previously known as the Engineering projects

and supplies (EPS) division of JUMA Al Majid EST., was founded

in 1977. In 2004 Technostream FZCO was established in Dubai

airport free zone as a spin-off the EPS division and took over

some of its business units.

Technostream after its success in Dubai started to extend its

presence in the region. In 2004 Technostream opened an

office in Abu Dhabi to address the progressive growth

in the capital city. The success story continues with

a new branch in Riyadh, KSA that

was established in 2012. Now

Technostream serves the rest

of the Gulf and Levant region

from the main operation

office in Dubai with plans to

expand into Oman and Qatar

in the coming years.

Value Proposition

Security & Automation Division The Security and Automation Division provides turnkey

solutions for the complete range of ELV systems. The

in-house team of project managers, engineers and

technicians can handle any scale of project from design

till training and handing over.

In addition to the project implementation and

maintenance team the security and automation

department manages the distribution of one of the

leading manufacturers of locks, locking systems and

architectural hardware system Abloy. Technostream is

the sole distributor of Abloy in the UAE.




Solutions and Services Security Systems Technostream experience in security systems goes

way back to the time EPS division was established

within the Juma Al Majid Group in 1977. Since then

Technostream has seen the evolvement of security

systems till this day. The security team has a wide

experience in all systems being traditional or advanced.

The security team is always trained and updated with

the latest local and international codes and standards.

Security requirements differ from one venue to

another. When we design a security system we comply

with the

local authority regulations and with the international

standards and codes. Keeping in mind the operational

requirements of the venue, the system is customized

to fit its purpose.

Nowadays most of the security systems are integrated

and controlled through a single Physical Security

Integration Manager (PSIM). Technostream has the

technical integration team to build custom interfaces

that will make it possible for multi security systems to

act as one.

The Physical Security Integration Manager (PSIM) may

also allow integration with the safety systems and any

ELV control system that may require monitoring and

controlling.

Video Surveillance Systems (IP/Analog) Video Surveillance Systems is the use of video cameras

to transmit video on a private network for the purpose

of monitoring and security. It may employ point

to point (P2P), point to multipoint, or mesh links.

The term is most often applied to systems used for

surveillance in areas that may need monitoring such

as banks, casinos, airports, military installations, and

convenience stores.

Almost all advanced forms of Video Surveillance

record the camera footage for a period of time

that could go up to six months or more. Video

Surveillance systems now have extra features (such

as motion-detection and email alerts). More recently,

decentralized IP-based cameras are being widely used.

Latest cameras can support intelligent analytics and

recording directly to network-attached storage devices,

or internal flash for completely stand-alone operation.

Surveillance of the public using CCTV is particularly

common in many areas around the world.

In the UAE there is strict regulations towards CCTV

monitoring in public and security sensitive areas. All

The system can control pedestrian and vehicle access

and can be integrated with different identification

technologies before granting access.

The access control system plays a vital role when

important, confidential and sensitive information and

property need to be protected.

Intrusion Alarm System

The Intrusion Alarm System is designed to detect

intrusion or unauthorized entry into a building or area.

It triggers an alarm when an unauthorized access is

detected. It could be triggered by motion sensors in

restricted areas, door opining without permission, a

glass braking, or any similar scenario. The Intrusion

alarm system is usually integrated and controlled

through the Access control system. Intrusion alarm

systems are also called security alarm systems, Burglar

Alarm systems, perimeter detection systems.

Intercom SystemThe Intercom System provides internal voice or video

communication within a facility. In most cases it

connects the resident unit with the building or area

entry point. It can be integrated with the access control

system to grant access permission with a push button.

Asset or Personnel Tracking SystemAsset or Personal Tracking Systems mostly use RFID or

Wi-Fi technology to track a small tag that is attached

to the item or person being tracked. Using this system

the operator can locate the item or person at any

time. This System is widely used in hospitals for assets

and staff tracking. Security officers with in a building

or community are easily located with the help of this

system. For companies in the transportation field the

system can offer them real time fleet management and

monitoring.

X-ray Screening & Metal detectorsX-ray Screening and Metal Detectors may be used at

Data/Voice NetworkA Data and Voice Network is an electronic

Safety, Educational, Entertainment, and many other

Telephony A Business Telephone System is the private exchange

installed for a private business. It serves the purpose

of voice communication within the organization and

provides a gateway to the main telephone system.

Advanced systems are IP based that use the Internet

Protocol`s packet-switched connections to exchange

voice, fax, and other forms of information. They

provide the ability of video calls, voice messaging, call

forwarding and many other options.

TECHNOSTREAM FZCO can also provide Voice and

video conferencing solutions as part of the unified

communication system.

Structure Cabling system (SCS)The SCS System is the passive infrastructure of the

network. It is the physical cabling distribution network

that connects all the components of the network

together. As the concept of centralized communication

is getting applied more and more every day most of the

ELV systems are now dependent on the SCS system for

internal and external communication and integration.

In Residential Projects, the service providers will not

allow the owner to run his services over their network.

Thus if required a private network should be installed

to run the services provided by the owner such as

CCTV, ACS, PA, PMS and others.

The public network or the network dedicated for the

service provider should comply with the guidelines of

the service provider.

Wireless networksThe Wireless Network is the expansion of the wired

network through wireless signals. The Demand of

wireless coverage is growing day after day, as we are

more dependent on our mobile devises.

The Wireless network has different uses and modes,

starting from the data and voice exchange to the

different security application through Tetra and duct

phones.

Distributed Antenna System (DAS) The DAS is used inside building to extend the coverage

of mobile telephone services. The DAS can be used

to service multi service providers over the same

infrastructure. It can also accommodate the wireless

signals of Wi-Fi and Tetra.




Audio Visual System (AV)The AV system provides audio and video

infrastructure in an area. This could be in

presentation rooms, meeting rooms, or ball rooms.

Public Address System (PA)The PA System is a simple voice amplification system

that allows the operator to address a large mass of

people at once. It is simply a microphone, amplification

system and load speakers. A more advanced system

would include dividing areas into different zones and

allowing the operator to select one or multi zone at a

time. Advanced automated systems can be integrated

with other systems and data bases to automatically

announce a prerecorded message when triggered

by an event or schedule. The PA system can be

integrated with the Background music system and fire

alarm system thus utilizing the same speakers and

amplification equipment.

Background Music SystemA Background Music System plays a variety of selected music to suit the regulars of your venue, airport, hospital, restaurant, bar or club.

Parking Management SystemParking Management System integrates and controls

the vehicle access to the parking and defines the ways

and manner of this access. It defines policies that

result in a more efficient use of parking resources for

Registered Users & Visitors/Temporary Users. It can be

used to charge parking fees or limit access to a certain

area of the parking to selected groups.

MATV, SMATV, and IPTV System MATV stands for Master Antenna Television. It is the

means by which many apartment houses hotels,

schools and other multi-unit buildings distribute TV

and FM signals to a number of receivers. Other name

for MATV is SMATV that includes the distribution of

satellite signal as well.

It is basically a network of cables and specially

designed components that process and amplify

satellite, TV and FM signals and distribute them from

one central location to each receiver. It centralizes the

reception point in a facility or a residential community.

The received signal can then be distributed to as many

units as required.

The IPTV system uses the Data network to distribute

the signal. The receiver of the IPTV signal is a set-top

box that decodes the signal from IP again to an analog

signal that can be displayed on the TV.

Digital signageDigital Signage is electronically displaying media

content in public areas for advertising, sharing

information, guidance or any purpose. A new trend is

interactive digital signage where the user can access

and request specific information.




Intelligent Building Solutions

Building Management System (BMS)A Building Management System is a computer-based

control and monitoring system installed in buildings

to monitor and control the building’s mechanical and

electrical equipment such as ventilation, lighting,

power systems, fire systems, and security systems. The

BMS system is a critical component in controlling the

energy consumption in the facility.

Home Automation SystemThe Home Automation is the centralized control of the

systems installed in a single residential unit. The home
