Thank you for the great result we got with you and your team at Gaff Air installing Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning into our home. From the initial consultation discussing various forms of heating and cooling we are so happy to have taken your advice. We decided to put two separate ducted systems into the roof of our house which works so well for us, we can easily now control the living spaces and the bedrooms separately.

The installation process was a large job as our house is over 10 years old and posed quite a few challenges easily overcome through your experience and attention to detail. The team spent almost 3 days from start to finish, they were friendly, professional and happily worked around us as we who work from home and have two children under 2 who need their sleep!

“The Gaff Air team Looking after Springetts Arcade, Bowral”

“Rodger and Sarah Gaff heading up the Gaff Air team have been looking after the 60-odd air-conditioning units in Springetts Arcade, Bowral for nearly 30 years.

Many of the air-conditioning units have been replaced and upgraded during the years.

Some of the units are driven through the water tower while others have been taken over with a Fujitsu VRF system.Fujitsu have created a remote access through the internet and speaks to the computer in our management office and provides us with technical support.

The program allows us to set the time and temperature profiles and we are also able to monitor energy consumption to the various shops and offices.

Both Rodger and Fujitsu are always on the spot to advise us on “what to do” next!

The Springett management has been very happy with service and attitude it has received, both from Gaff Air and Fujitsu.

“On time and a professional service you can rely on”

St Paul’s International College commissioned Gaff Air to install extensive air conditioning systems throughout the College buildings. As a result of this work we now enjoy reverse cycle temperature control in the Class rooms, Library, Convent and the Female dormitory building which is comprised of some 110 rooms.

The installation of these systems were completed as per quotations and within time constraints which Gaff Air effectively organized around the College timetable proving to produce minimum disruption. The Dormitory Air conditioning involved small split systems throughout a large dormitory with large external inverter units installed externally. This VRF project gave us computerised control and scheduled maintenance information proving very effective for our needs.

Gaff Air have carried out maintenance work as well as some rectification of the systems as needs have arisen. I have found them to be very helpful and proficient with a genuine interest in helping us keep these Air Conditioners functioning and in good order. St Paul’s International College have enjoyed a long working partnership with Gaff Air and hope to continue this with the possible additional systems to other College buildings in the future.

Tip #1 - Make use of energy saving features whenever possible

Your new air conditioning system comes loaded with energy saving features. These features save precious energy for the environment but the effect can be seen directly on your power bill too. Ask the installing technician about energy saving features or refer to your owner’s manual. If you are upgrading from an older air conditioning system you will be pleasantly surprised at how much more efficient air conditioning systems have become.

Tip #2 - Don’t fall behind on regular maintenance

Are you tired of me talking about maintenance yet? I hope not, because proper maintenance is the most important part of a long-lasting, efficient system. Whether you choose to perform regular maintenance on your own or to have a technician do it, make sure it gets done. It’s up to you - take care of your system now or spend money fixing it later. I’m sure you know what the simplest, cheapest option is – regular maintenance!

Tip #3 - Ask questions

Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question, so ask away! When searching for a company to install your new air conditioning system make sure to ask them any questions you can think of, starting with the following:

• Are you licensed?

• Do you guarantee 100% of your work?

• Are you certified to recover air conditioning refrigerant (Refrigerant Handling Licence)?

• Can you give me references from 5 recent customers?

• Do you offer EFTPOS or take credit cards?

• Are you a member of any trade associations, if so which ones?

• Can you be reached in an emergency?

• Do you employ local, qualified tradespeople?

Sure, it is a long list of questions, but no reputable company will hesitate to answer your questions and if they don’t want to answer them simply don’t hire them.

So if you walk into the Gaff Air office and asked these questions, you would get a confident, “Yes!” to every one of them.
